I'm feeling the pressure. . Literally.
Installed the new/used m/c, 5/8"diameter bore from a honda. VG condition. Took a total of about 7hrs to get the system blend. Christ, , though I was gonna loose my mind. Used the mity-vac, and kept getting bubbles. Though I may be sucking air around the pistons.? I must have cycled a gallon of fluid through this thing.
Anyway, gave it a rest and buttoned everything up. Some gentle pumps on the lever and gradually stiffer feel. Thank God. 😆
Tied the lever w/less than half travel to the bar, checked for any leaks. Everything is great. I'm riding the redhead to work tomorrow. Fuckin A.👍

Great pics Arthur. Gotta love the Greys.

Took ours out to the Hideout bike shop yesterday to replace my ancient Hein Gericke gloves. Popped into Finchingfield for compulsory icecream on the way back. The Red and Grey are bonding nicely.

Cleaned the bluespots, replaced the pads and brake fluid 3hour job including bleeding them :D  Then went for a Sunday bimble to the Sherwood cafe.  Not often you see a Firebolt, a Rocket, an RSV4, a Panigale and a TDM900 all lined up. :)

The Panigale was being ridden by a lovely lady.

Rode the 900 to South Queensferry for a charity custom bike show (RNLI ) and took some nice pics.
Met a fellow 900 rider, who has a lot of bikes, and he summed up the 900 well saying 'I bought it just to ride'

Then i came home, got my act together and rebuilt the bottom end of the mk1 engine. Need to hone the bores before i finish rebuilding itAttached File  20160731_160637.jpg   138.51KB   0 downloads

Well, , too much pressure. 🤐
Took the redhead for a quick test ride through the complex this am. 50mph down the backstretch,& stood on the front brake. Worked great till I got home.
Both calipers locked up at the front door.
Hmmm, , thats not good. 👎 had to crack both bleeders so i could get the rig in the house.
I have 2 thoughts I'd like to run past you folks.
1) the honda m/c is not compatible w/these calipots? 5/8"bore is too Lg.
2) the initial test boiled the fluid causing it to expand and lock. Don't know why though. One hard pass? The lever was completely stiff also. ? ?
Your thoughts, suggestions please. Pd G.

Is the m/c new ?

Do the pads pull away slightly from the disc after braking ? (They should) ....are the calipers seized ?
