I did a re-bleed tonight and no bubbles. Lever feel is good at the moment, not mushy or wooden. I'm going to do another test run this morning and hope for the best. What do you think? G.

Thanks fixitsan for replying. The m/c is used but in very good condition. The calipots are recently rebuild, pistons in very good condition also. Nothing seized. All the pins are clean and smooth.

I would pull the lever hard, then release it. When you release the lever the pads should be withdrawn from the disk a fraction, enough to wiggle them on the pins a tad.
If they don't pull back there could be crud in the fluid causing a blockage at the caliper or the m/c.....or the m/c perhaps has a faulty seal

The lens is everything ! There's a reason some 50 year old lenses are still in use today when more modern counterparts are available !

How warm is it in Vegas atm?
- Make sure your reservoir isn't overfilled or exposed to direct sun.
- Make sure the breather (a slit cut into the metal) above the rubber diaphram is clear so that the system can breathe.
- Check that your discs are serviced and free floating as well as your calipers are.

Currently 86deg f, at 10a, but humid.
Bike has been indoors for 3weeks.
Disc's are fine, all bobbins rotate but not loose.
M/c vent is perfect. I'm rolling the bike out the door now for another test.
Fingers crossed. Will advise. G.

One hard brake, and locked up at the front door.
This m/c is not relieving pressure. Calipers were hot, disc's very hot.
I'm going inside m/c for answers.
Bummer. Pd Gabe.

Finished with the mk1 engine....ready to refit into the frame

Couldn't find the motivation to strip and paint the frame, so to cover up the horrendous brush painting for the rest of this year some stunning vinyl wrap has been employed !
A whole USAF theme will be installed soon, There's a 12" flying tigers shark mouth coming for the upper fairing, from the good 'ol US of A

Are you going keep the red seat? 😎

Hey fixer, that sounds pretty cool. Love that flying tiger theme.
Are you going keep the red seat?
Not sure. about the seat.
The red will go well with the red shark's mouth, and it has red gaitors on the forks and a red rear caliper holder.Maybe i should've gone for a silver frame wrap, but the checks caught my eye, and look strongest only when you're side on.....from a more oblique angle they look more interesting
I've yet to decide whether I'm keeping it ....once the engine is back in and I'm back riding it I'll have to decide between the 900 and this 850.....This 850 has a refurbished engine now....
