274 motorway miles plus a meet with SR for a burger -no Dablik it's not a spelling error.

I was well burgered, cheers Favs. :drinks:  Oh, and thanks muchly for the loan of those fishnet stockings  troos and jacket.  Of course that now means it'll piss it down for the 2 weeks in europe.

Could be the more advanced fork construction of the MkI....

The fork top adjusters are seized so I'm looking forward to getting them freed up.

Struggling for a reason not to keep the mk1 and sell the 9er. A bit more roadtesting should convince me.

Probably let my 9er go for £1300 (96k miles and running sweet)

Reached Warsaw today on a trip up to the Baltic countries (Latvia Lithuania etc) . Just completed the first 1000 miles of the trip. Weather good so far but the forecast is for lots of rain over next couple of days.
People and camp sites good.
TDM and Francois's Varadero behaving well so far, but roads getting worse.
Will update more as & when / I get internet access

Got the hyperpro fork springs in this morning to go with the rear shock I installed last week. Nothing extraordinary, but much more controlled.  After I got them in, I immediately left for a 3 hour ride in the mountains.  This 23 year old bike continues to amaze me.

I just got an idea for a practical joke:

"Honey, I've got to admit something"

"Okeeyyy?" (looking a bit worried)

"I'm in love - with a 23 years old"

(Shocked look) "WHAT ???"

"....myTDM"

Who dares ? Anyone ?

Fitted new spark plugs to the mk1.....seems to run a little better idling, but in the middle of a hailstorm just now, so won't know if that was the cause of the low rpm-high load misfire till later

Morning everyone, , hey fixitsan, when I did the fork overhaul I serviced the adjusters also. They were a little tight.
Broke them down, gave them a good cleaning and reassembled w/anti-seize on the threads. Smooth as silk now. Make sure the o-rings are ok. 👍

I rode a bike through 2 Scottish winters thanks to muffs. Didn't have heated grips and managed fine.
Apparently heated muffs are nice !

Dont like the combo Chris, feels like your hands are in a sauna and if your gloves linings are'nt sown in your gonna have some fun, always found muffs to be fine on their own wearing summer gloves..

Fook me, muffs in August
