there must be a few terrabytes of footage from all the cameras :-)
i have started on Day 5 , what i consider to be one of the best days on a motorcycle i have ever had , maybe not the highest peaks , but some of the most scenic and tight twisty rural quiet roads.
and a mere 156.7 miles

ChrisG and I had planned where we wanted to end up and "picked" all the twisty bits on a map to join those dot's together and this is the result.
sorry to say lads but it has to be better doing this, than nursing a hangover at a campsite
Here's just a snippet of some of the sights. there is most likely gonna be 2 or 3 parts
Enjoy

Swmbo has agreed the funding.
Next year, I will be taking the route more or less followed by the intrepid team. Been to France this year for a recce and I reckon I'll manage it. I'm a touring abroad virgin, so any advice will be welcome.

Lee, we were all using GoPro's but there are some decent alternatives around these days like the Drift HD. You need to consider how much storage space you want to take with you though, a couple of the boys lost a load of video do to corrupted files. I carry a laptop and bought a small portable hard drive as well so I can empty my SD card every night. I downloaded Archies list of camp sites for my satnav and it was brilliant, only let us down twice, one campsite that didn't exist (but there were several others nearby) and one that turned out to be a Gite (who charged us 25 euros each including breakfast). Some prefer to have a destination in mind but having a big list of sites like that enabled us to ride until late afternoon and then look for a campsite we could aim for for a suitable time.
