Would be a good idea of the stop off points so people can meet/join the ride there.

It would be if we knew what they were going to be.

We still have to work out our route but I suspect we'll be travelling something along the lines of:

Harlow - M11
M25 to J20 (or possibly skip motorways and head across to Hemel Hemsptead)
A41 (shame not to) to Bicester
Oxford
Worcester
Etc

Saga, BSM and I will see what time we manage to get away and if we're at the H cafe then all well and good but don't hang around for us.

Apologies for being off the grid on this, my Dad passed away a fortnight ago, in Ireland, where he lived. I've been flitting between the two countries trying to sort things out. There's some light at the end of the tunnel now, so I'm OK to make this weekend, but I have a solicitor's appointment in Derby on Friday morning, so won't make noon at Lynn's Raven cafe. I'll probably still head there for lunch, but probably won't get there until 1:30, missing you chaps. If anyone is up for a later meet, I'll be there until 2:30ish then I'll be engaging the "Twisty Roads" functionality on my TomTom and heading to Dom's the scenic way  :D

Filippo, Drew, the more the merrier, too late to take deposits now. Price is £10 per tent per night, to be collected by me at the event. Can't see any problems with turning up at 9.00pm Fil. I'll take responsibility for ordering your food and beer while your erecting your tent.
Might be on my S10 and there will be 2 others that I know of, so no worries on that front either.

Just to confirm I am still coming to the event and my ETA sadly will still be by 9 pm as I can't get away any earlier at the moment.

Fil.

Thanks for your kind comments all. My Dad was a lifelong biker, from prewar Aerial singles, through Dot trials bikes, a '68 Bonneville, and finally 750 Triton classic racer. When going through his things I found a Honda TL125 trials bike in an outhouse that nobody knew about!!

Back on thread - I haven't seen any ride outs mentioned for the Saturday, I know we all have different thoughts on routes/distance/terrain/speed/group size, so if you're looking for inspiration, have a look at the Ride Magazine route website loads of ideas for rides that can start & finish close to Dom's. I'll download a few onto my sat nav and I'm happy to lead* a small group on the Saturday. Maybe a few others do the same and we'll have some choice on the day.

* 'Lead' in my case is not that accurate a description - better described as "head off purposefully, followed by rapid decline to chaos. And cake"
