Ill be able to tell if the tubes are worn by the chrome not being there, right?!?

No. The chrome will still be dare but if ewe shine a torch/light on em they look kinda squared. I took a pic of G's and put em on ear somewhere.

Well, Ive actually just acquired a digital caliper! So, that would help me test both sets of bushes and fork tubes!

I was going to try that, with the milk bottle. Theres no water getting in, the oil coming out is clean and doesnt smell, so Im guessing its a good enough sign! Haha Ill give that a go, then order some oil and dust seals! If it still leaks, Ill get the whole lot and probably change the bushes on the stancions.

I had a sudden, hefty leak a few days after fork tubes were bent (bump into rear car bumper at low speed, I guess)

Quick update of where I am. I have decided to get rid of the fairing, not it and then sort out the back end at work, where I have a welder and bits of metal to help me get it how Id like it. New bars, levers and wrapped the tank. Which will need to be redone sometime soon, ok first effort but not amazing! Haha

Hope to have her MOTD by end of the month! Got to order some more bits, but hopefully have them all sorted before! I dont want to go the mot station with it looking crap!
Carbs on later, secure everything and clean it all up, a lot of dust and oil resting on the engine and frame at the moment.
I need to fabricate a new fuse box and cdi bracket/guard.
I need to torque everything.
I need to paint the fork legs and engine mounts.
Exhaust needs a bit of adjustment.
Refill coolant.
New indicators and led relay, which have been ordered!

After mot;
New tyres can go on.
Make rear end look better.
Paint frame black!!
Forks!

Bits to order;
Speedo (digital) (Ill need to calibrate that on the settings and wire up the revs. How to I programme mileage? Or do I just leave it?).
Screen, preferably a tinted one and mount that.
Maybe a new rear lamp? Dont know if I like this one.
Paint, black gloss and primer.
Stanchions, seals and bushes.

Not only am I showing you lot what it needs, itll be a list I can read too! Haha

Ill be riding soon! B

Would'nt worry much about how it looks for mot Tom, not a requirement so long as everything works, still a fair bit to do though.

You should be able to put your present mileage into a digital speedo, most have the option, plus your going to need a magnet attaching at the wheel end along with the sensor..

Found the problem with the carburettors, float valve o ring had split and I missed it! :( luckily I kept the old o ring and replaced it! They dont leak now!
I just have a pop after I switch ignition off! Haha
So, tomorrow Ill be checking for air leaks (again) and if there isnt any, Ill be adjusting them a little!! Anyone fancy doing it for me? Its getting old now! Haha

So, carbs are now sorted again (fingers crossed!!) balanced and revving at 1,200 warm. Fuel tap is a tad leaky, can sort that out later.
Now, Im moving onto the other things! The other bits in the list!

This led indicator relay is tripe!

Ive decided that I dont like the fuel pump mod, it runs good, no leaks or popping of the sort etc, its just noisy and sometimes the c word is too quick. I havent been for a run yet, but I can imagine the carbs not getting enough fuel because it wont deliver.
Luckily my vacuum pump works ok, just need to find it and also a new length of vacuum hose! Haha

Other than that, the bike is pretty much there! Just waiting on some parts Ive ordered, a check over and a few other little bits that Ive been putting off to sort out the bigger bits!

Hope everything is well with everyone elses Sunday! My neighbour is just going for his second ride of the weekend! Good on him! Twat. Haha

I might even buy a new vacuum pump and keep the old as a spare. Does anyone know what ID the vacuum hose has to be? Cheers.

If the rain stops i'll check for you a bit later Tom, surely the leaking using the leccy pump is fuel level related oder !!

And i agree, your neighbour is a Twat
