Pre-trip once over & flound flattery a bit bat (may hve bin me Fing about yesturd or may knott hav), therefive on charge until beddies  :oldgit:

May replace with fancy Lithium (sure one of my mates take this stuff?) type new techno lump depending on £ and wot I read.

If you do the Magnetti Marelli one is far cheaper from Carpi-moto even with the dropping pound. I love mine!

Probably the most dangerous thing about them was the pointed end was sticking out to the right....I didn't want to scratch my fragile skin, I am still in possession of a 900 so I need to be careful, apparently

Fitted new battery to my project 850. Set about getting all the electrics to work - few cuts wires due to previous owner deciding he would remove the alarm before selling.

Sorted that, attached a rudimentary fuel supply and tried to start.

She spun over nicely but no startee

Then it came to me, these old girls have a choke mechanism don't they?

A quick tug (ooh, err, missis), and the old girl burst into life

Now trying to decide on a colour scheme, any ideas?

Nah, it's been done before

Fancy something in red, white and blue.

I'll have to get my crayons out!

Ridden Adenau to Splodge's in the fog/sunshine on some very nice single tracks followed by definitley not staring into several er moving display lingerie shops (I assume that's what they're selling  ), on the run up to his place.

Did that a few months ago - felt a bit stupid having struggled with esp. the flasher switch for years and all it needed was a splash of fat to slide like Bambi on the ice :-)
