Only if your ride goes over 6/8 hours ish. rolleyes.gif
Fingers crossed, my plug in system seems to be keeping them going for a while longer.

mine is the tomtom rider2
first the mount died(being sorted under warranty)
then the software update to the main unit has done some stoooopid things
my phone no longer works through the unit, very annoying as i bought the unit to act as a bluetooth hub for my mobile
it keeps switching its self on, even just sat on my desk totally unplugged with nothing touching it

roight....21hours before i need to leave...time to replace the exhaust system

"Never argue with an idiot. They just bring you down to their level and beat you with experience"

to fit : led spotlights, heated grips, new braided lines and rear caliper that actually has bleed nipples
Silver-ish 2003 900, 70k miles, PilotRoad3 front tyre (new@65k) & PR2 rear(new at 69k), Renthal 755 bars with KTM handguards, oxford unheated grips, power commander 3usb, scorpion titanium exhausts, standard screen with vario winglet thingy, stainless grill, oem centre stand, bagster tank cover, givi monokey topplate mounted on grabrail with V46 topbox, Givi PL pannier rails with E21s, crash bungs, mirror extender thingys, Halfords Advanced Laser Blue brillance bulbs, 21w led spotlights, touring scottoiler with leehenty dual nozzle, Autocom with blueteeth & PMR radio, TomTom Rider3 Urban, winter style anti-dazzle coating
to fit : led brake light strip, replacement heated grips

current rides : TDM850 3vd/mk1=tourer&scratcher, TRX850=weekend twisty toy, 2003 TDM900=commuter, 2005

The software update killed my phone connection too. Luckily I'm paranoid and had a copy of the entire SD card on my PC so I've gone back to the old version and it all works fine.

21 hours is almost forward planning for you isn't it? rotflmmfao.gif

1992 Mk1, 76k miles, Hagon springs, MTC exhaust, 4½ gears Gone now :(
2009 900 abs, 42k miles, Yamaha heated grips, double bubble screen, R&G crash bungs, scottoiler, Autocom, 1500 lumen LED spotlights.

i managed to patch up the old exhaust....
it'll last until i get back and see what Mr Mechanic is gonna come up with

hats off to the manager of Halfords in Southend who actually took an interest
opened loads of packets of exhaust tape to find the correct size, right outside the shop and ignoring pleas from chavs for cheap sound systems
he did do a bit of remenissing...in my day.....gt550.....1970........ etc etc. he had a right laff laugh.gif

now to start packing....

bike packed, need to get fuel first thing
whilst taking the bike off the abba stand (had been using that while i was messing with the exhausts) the sidestand folded up of course i'm the wrong side of the bike taking the abba stand off and the bloody thing falls over ranting.gif
luckily it landed on a few bags of fertilizer/woodchippings so only damage was to the mirror dry.gif

anyone coming tomorrow have a spare left mirror?

Well, hopefully that's taken care of yer one-mishap-per-trip thingy. Will you be lashing a Gro-bag to each side of the tank, just to be sure? And if it's a wet trip you could always start off a few tomato plants? rolleyes.gif .

Tony, Danny and Chris safely arrived here yesterday.
had a couple of drinks while listening to the stories.
and this morning (1011AM ish) they gettign ready to set off and first time this season i felt like going out for a spin so joined them.
bit of TomTom controversy slowed us down and after an hour or two we said our goodbyes and they headed off to Calais and i returned home.

Thats fine. I hope the short rest of the trip will also be safe.

Steve safely arrived yesterday my place. We had a fine 320 km tour from Sauerland via Westerwald, Rhein, Mosel and Hunsrück to Saarland and after a cup of coffee he went to Karlo (also one of the german TDMF members) some villages away to spend the night in Karlos guest room.
Now I guess he is having fun in the Vosges Mountains and will continue his europe trip.

Thx a lot to you british guys for being such an enrichment for our MegaTreff. It was great to meet you and I hope we will see british friends at the next MegaTreff (wherever in Germany this will be) too.
And thx for the beers tongue.gif
