Steve safely arrived yesterday my place. We had a fine 320 km tour from Sauerland via Westerwald, Rhein, Mosel and Hunsrück to Saarland and after a cup of coffee he went to Karlo (also one of the german TDMF members) some villages away to spend the night in Karlos guest room.
Now I guess he is having fun in the Vosges Mountains and will continue his europe trip.
Thx a lot to you british guys for being such an enrichment for our MegaTreff. It was great to meet you and I hope we will see british friends at the next MegaTreff (wherever in Germany this will be) too.
And thx for the beers

Just got back. Rain didn't start until Calais so a good day.
Hanno, please can you pass on our thanks to everyone who made us feel so welcome despite our complete inability to speak German. Thanks are especially due to yourself and Jochen for sorting out booking us in and taking care of us, to Jörge, Suzanne and Highlander for taking us on a supurb tour, and "Uver" (I have no idea how to spell his name but that's about the closest I can come up with in English) for his help in planning our route to Belgium which was a fantastic trip, we left the hotel at about 9:30 and reached Guinness' place in Tongeren at 7:00pm which huge grins on our faces. We all had a really great weekend, a lot of fun on the bikes in beautiful countryside, and met a great bunch of people. Tony dished out a load of Carpe cards so if anyone is comming to the UK drop in here and we'll try to be as helpfull to them as they were to us. Hopefully by next years Megatreff we'll have learned some more German and bring some more people with us. Prost!

it was a pleasure to have you here in Germany.
You´re invited to come back next year - just take the other 4 or 5 TDMs from UK with you

No worries about language - your English is excellent.
See you
Jochen

It's not just you who think I need to speak slower, I kept getting that from Tony over the radio too

I really want to come back next year so hopefully see you then.
Please could we get a link to the official photo of the gathering when it gets put on line.
Jochen, I think I may have met a few people this weekend who's English was better than mine

Danny...you mean you've left your poor baby looking filthy? Shame on you, after the way she made you feel over the weekend the least you could do is look after her properly.

Catsbum...numbum. Cross country is fine but I never find long distance motorway very comfortable. Very glad we decided to come home cross country over 2 days rather than spend a second day sat on a motorway, the trip out on Friday was a little dull but the rest of the weekend made it more than worth it!

of course, but our official TDMF photographer (Unicum aka Dirk) had a little collision with an Audi (greetings to Tony *gg*) on his way back home. Just a few bruises on the shoulder and on the feet and the TDM is a little bit scarred, but I guess he will check his pictures in the next days and will upload the best of them.
I will crosslink the pict here asap.

Ouch. Hope he's ok. Didn't realise Tony's Audi problem was contagious

I guess the Audi driver is still hyperventilating. Imagine 120 kg are flying on the capot of your car...
