Why would you put 900 mirrors on a GSA
Why would you put 900 mirrors on a 850 ?
Posted 11 June 2017 - 07:49 pm
Taxed the Mk 2, put a set of 900 mirrors on it & took it out for a blast this morning
first ride on it this year
for a 21 year old bike, the old girl can still bounce off the rev limiter no problem, & had to tone it down a bit when I saw three figure speeds on the speedo
Am now going out to do the same on my GSA
Nice to get some bike time eh. Even better on a TDM.

Yes, it was a hoot - but going on the route I normally take my BM's on exposed the need for better suspenders on the Mk2 - will have to get that Wilbers unit put on my Niner & take that for a spin. Boy's yeller one has Ohlins back & front - but that might change before he he gets his hands on it - it's going for a restrictor kit to be fitted next week - I know it's a simple job, but need that letter from a dealer to prove it for insurance purposes.
Anyway, what was the grey engine paint people use to freshen them up - fecking thing looks like it's got leprosy .....I know Waspy looked after it, but the next owner has a lot to answer for cosmetically
The older I get, the better I was

Dablik's just bought an M-shock fer his mk1, might be worth a punt at £350. Yeah, a swap over of suspenders on the 9'er seems a sensible idea. I'd also wait a month or two before painting the engine, going off his track record.
I think ChrisR found a matching paint from Halfrauds, can't remember what colour it was, might have even been frame paint thinking on.

Might be 2018 before he gets his kit back from France to ride it - the way it's going at the moment
Missed our early holiday, now June & July are out, & it gets too hot in August - so September is looking the earliest
