Hi to all!

Oh my God. I thought; All Yamaha part = OEM.
But not all OEM = Yamaha.

Before I go mad, please, can anyone explain the impasse? :sorry:

Cheers!

no, but it was a filtro one with the stamped out holes. the yam one had a mesh around the outside and I could feel it when I blew into the new one. the old one was still clean

Original equipement Manufacture = OEM, usually but not always made by the same peeps who orginally made the part alledgely to the same specs.

Genuine = yamaha

Today I mounted a Fuzeblocks and a 12v power socket. Then, quite satisfied, I drove out to the seaside.

Fitted new fork bushes, seals, dust seals.

Refitted the mudguard, wheel, calipers etc. then refitted the forks.

Received the 755 bars from DMMSTA, (swoppped for my 971s)

Going to give the bars a quick coat of primer, then satin black, as the blue bars don't look right on a red/black bike! :hide:

Hopefully back on the road tomorrow, or worst case, the weekend, depending on what Mrs Got1now has on the agenda for tomorrow. :)

I've bought an oil filter, oil and brake fluid.  I think I might have a free weekend at the end of July to do something with them.

was in A&E this morning as I was doubled over in pain. turns out I have a water infection. lost most of the day but I can't sit still, so with the meds keeping the pain away, changed the clutch springs for the later ones (they are 50mm as opposed to 55mm) and they made a lot of difference.

clutch is nice to use, throw is less due to them being shorter/stronger and a lot lighter to use too.

That is actually going to happen this year, although riding to Liverpool with a pillion when neither of us have ridden in ages might result in some saddle sores :-D

Adjusted(re-) steering head bearings play & mirror risers, went on 20km sunday ride with a friend on a Harley. Riding at about same pace - his limited by metal sticking out, mine by guts  :lol:

The old cow's handling is wonderful ! Obviously first time in 12 years of ownership where tyres, steering, suspension and wheel bearings are good simultaneously...
