Also got the same reply yesterday sad.gif

The nearest alternative is the "Domaine Du Chateau De La Neuville" as posted previously - might be OK for us 900 riders as its advertised as "gay friendly wub.gif ", also got a garage for motorbikes.

Are we going to try and fill this one as well ??

DB

I`m ok with that, it would be good to keep the group as close together as possible, there are also options also in Liege, I see booking.com is not charging a cancellation fee so probably worth booking a room just now & the option to change later if needed.

I`m thinking of taking the camping gear & doing a night in the Lake District on the Monday night en route to meet the guys at Lymm service station & the same on the way back again - depending on the weather forecasts nearer the time of course!

I`m going to book the room with the view over the power station then for now- b shocked.gif

At least the bike will be safe good.gif tongue.gif

Just seen this review on trip advisor - Probably need to keep searching! dunno.gif

“Avoid this place!!!”
Domaine Du Chateau De La Neuville
duitrusoez 2 contributions Hasselt, Belgium
16 May 2010 | Trip type: Couples We stayed in this place for two days. It looks nice from the outside, however, in the very close vicinity there is a powerplant which is of course not seen on the pictures as well as lots of electrical wires. The people in the hotel are very unfriendly and impolite and do not speak English. The room had an unpleasent smell, the ceiling had many signs of water damage, the room was not cleaned well (hairs from the last guest, dust everywhere, dead insects in the curtains. Sunday morning 7am water was dripping from the ceiling on our bed and laptop. When we complained and asked for a refund the people were shouting at us and the cleaning women said she would throw our stuff out of the window if we do not leave immediately.

Yep, just had my cancellation email, will look around the area. Anyone know of a campsite nearby? sad.gif

Decided to book at Domaine Du Chateau De La Neuville, free cancellation through booking.com if anything better comes along. At least my bike will be in the garage overnight.

I hope to make a decision on making the meet sometime in February.
2011 has rapidly filled up with things like a trip to the states so Mrs Erny can be a bridesmaid in May.
A trip to somewhere between here and New Zealand so Mrs Erny can meet her newly emigrated Sister, in July/ August.
A weekend doing something (as yet unknown) for Mrs Ernys 40th in July.
Mrs. Erny understands my need to go to Germany with you all.

There are no plans that clash with the dates for the 2£11 meet but funds are going to be a major issue.

I also have a friend in Germany I'd like to meet. No idea on the geography yet, but I'm hoping he can put me up for one or 2 nights, which should help me out alot if he can. Unfortunalty, during summer he tours music festivals in Europe selling body jewellery. So the dates might clash.
I'll get in touch with him now to try and plan something.

I need a sig. indeed with plenty of frickin polish

Hi All,
I joined the German forum and posted a question about the tours. Here is the reply, which Peter, one of the administrators, kindly wrote in english.
I'll keep monitoring their site and will post any snippets of interest and of course, more detail on the tours when they become available.
Ali

Hello Ali

First of all: welcome on board! I am pretty closely monitoring the reservations / bookings for our event in 2011 and I am pleased to see that colleagues from all over Europe will be joining. Needless to say that with the number you mention, 'you' will be the largest group from a non-German-speaking area.

For the moment we have only gathered some ideas about possible tours. The detailed planning by each of the guides in terms of routes, number of participants, time, and so on, is still outstanding.
As this will be done individually by each guide, the point in time when it is done, is somewhat had to predict... But the tours will - in due time - all be presented in the Wiki and I'm pretty sure that there will also be discussion threads in the forum itself.

I hope that answers your question to a fair degree, and if you or your colleagues have any other issue / question / suggestion / comment (or something in that direction), please do not hesitate to bring it up in whatever language you prefer - as long as it is German...

No, just joking... English is absolutely welcome as well!

Best regards & we're looking forward to meeting you all in a few months time!

Peter

To add to the touring question:

We will post an overview of suggested/guided tours on our wiki (unfortunately in German, maybe Google can help... at least to have some fun wink.gif )
Touring section of the MT11 wiki

If you have further questions: I try to read here every once in a while, but please send me a dedicated message if you want to be sure to reach my attention. Otherwise feel free to join/start discussions in the "German" forum, even in English good.gif

I am looking forward to see many of you next year!

But yes you are bloody lucky up there.
