I don’t have to do it just yet, a firm thump usually brings the errant bulb back to life, but I’m sure it won’t eventually.

That's how mine started, carried on like that for a year before it finally failed.

-07 900 ABS 115 tkm on a clock. It's been surprisingly reliable bike for past 100 tkm. Just  standard maintenance. Front fork gators have been keeping fork seals in a good shape for past 40 tkm. Air box mod + PowerCommander + Laser cans are quite ok even if low rev torque is still a bit thin. Higher and wider seat (it's pretty tricky to make the shape and hardness comfortable enough - hints are welcome) + lowered screen fits quite well for a tall driver like me keeping helmet tolerable steady and quiet reducing still pressure on a chest. It's not for off road but light enough for 10/90 all-rounder/street needs but unfortunately carrying capacity quite low. I would prefer slightly shorter 1st gear and  +10 hp.

It's far from perfect but versatile enough for my needs. I've testes quite many bikes for a past couple of years ending up time after time to go on with TDM - charger. It's time to change timing chain and check valve clearances. New front brake discs an pads are also waiting for assembly. Original battery is finished. Just a few months and snow is gone and I'll be ready for road.

I heard some high praises for the Angels, but mostly from people working in a bike shop....so, ya know ;)

I've always liked Avon. Very happy with the PR3s I currently have mind you.

I have got Angels on both the 850 and the niner and quite happy with all aspects better than PR3 installed previously, but tyres are and always will be a divisive subject as in one mans meat is anothers poison

For a challenging summer try the

Yeah Rallyist tyre choice is very personal :good:  - I'm not starting another tyre thread just my take on the two varieties mentioned :cake eating:

Fixitsan - Yeah sales/advertising driven drivel sometimes  ;) Storms suit my riding style (ha) & mileage requirements.

Angels were brilliant for me, liked them more than the Roadsmarts which were good, i think it would be too rude not to try Avons next time round at the price, if they can hold Favs :D  up i may give em a bash.

After having the bike for over 4 years, and with the various upgrades done Ive finally removed the fairing for a respary. It was damaged when I bought it and was a good bargain tool in knocking the price down.

So thought over Christmas lets get it off and repaired and resparyed..
