Cleaned the bike of five months of crap on top of ACF. Fitted the PL347 racks and E21 panniers, now looking much more like a bike to tour on!
25 Day to go!

Excuse my ignorance but is this a different technology to the earlier Interphone conversation? At the moment I don't have anything and am dithering whether to invest or not.........

Crikey, you lot do panic. I've spent years travelling for work and, unless I was going to be based in one place for a week or so, I would never bother pre-booking accommodation as you can always find somewhere for one night. However, if it stops you worrying by all means go ahead and book somewhere. But I will admit that this approach nearly failed in Italy a couple of years back when cats and me had to ride about 20 miles to find a room for the night!
Btw, if anyone is interested, I was recently around Manchester and Derbyshire area's and did as I stated above, however, I used a new phone app called hotels.com which tells you what accommodation is available where you are, plus it has reviews posted by other users. It works great and highly recommend it.
