Is this right at the moment ?

https://www.visordow...avirus-lockdown

This seems to be a very polarised issue, judging from the comments on some of the bike related Facebook groups I'm following.  On one hand it seems fine, just keep yourself to yourself and it should be fine, but, then there are others who say that because of the increased risk of accident you shouldn't do it, in case you need to be taken to hospital and soak up some NHS resources

So what would you do instead ? DIY accounts for over 200,000 injuries per year, so better not tackle any of that if you're going to be as safe as possible. And instead of using the bike you should take your car, but then again there is a much lower chance of injury if you walk instead of taking the car, so should we walk everywhere ?

Ride safe :)

Isn't there something about journeys needing to be essential?

All those folk driving to beauty spots and strolling about was the prompt for the current rules IIRC.

I certainly wouldn't get away with it here.  Some bloke taking his chicken for a walk was arrested yesterday.  The police don't like the public taking the pi$$ either.

Looks like I'll be hooking up the Optimate soon.

Stripped and cleaned the rear caliper after a hard winter. One of the pads was seized in the caliper and was worn down to the metal. It was a pretty nasty mess, even though I had cleaned everything in November and the pads had loads of meat on them then. Thirty minutes with brake cleaner, an old toothbrush, red rubber grease and copper grease and everything was tickety-boo. I even had a set of OEM brake pads "in stock" :good: .

excuses pour mon pauvre français.

il est bon d'entendre que vous faites bon usage de l'isolement.
vos modifications sont superbes!

I had to go to the vets to pick up some antibiotics for my sick hens - a 25 mile round trip. I took the TDM. The roads were pretty empty. Petrol prices have plummeted too - currently £103.9 per litre!

Ireland now on lock down for 2 weeks then they will assess again.
Tomorrow I'm gonna wash the cars and bikes then make a list of TV shows to watch on Netflix :)
There's gonna be a lot of time spent in the workshop for the next month !

Replaced the front wheel bearings, for no particular reason, other than they'd done 104,851 miles, so were probably ready :rotflmmfao: . I have to say, they felt and sounded just fine, but while I've got time and can't ride anywhere I thought I might as well do it.
