New riding season require prepared motorcycle. Nothing wrong with TDM, but it need attention in order not be ashamed in company with new bikes.
Lets clean this and polish:
Done!
Hugger in unacceptable condition.
Seems better.
Luggage need some care to. See the difference?
Those hard to reach areas are free now therefore are cleaned.
This is polished by my friend. He did good job. It always amazes me how quality components TDM have. U wont find this big, polished, cast aluminium parts on new bikes.
Do u hate when u touch something on bike and that doesnt feel right? Scratching, jamming? Must be cleaned!
There!
Lube with lithium grease.
Assemble.
Now to garage.
Loos awesome. Cries for supersprox sprocket and titanium nuts. Will be at some point.
Dog is there also to check all. Its very dangerous and aggressive. Chops people.
Now to tight bolts n nuts. Chain slider on 10nm. Sounds strange. But lets follow Yamaha specs.
Snapped... But snapping bolts with torque wrench. That is uncomfortamble. I dont like ugly bolts. Luckily i have two titanium M6 with hex head. Just ordered new fancy washer.
Lets move on.
Lubricate brake lever:
Mount it and adjust. 30mm bellow footpeg.
Do you think those bolts arent tidy? Maybe to get new ones.
Exaust joints alway need to be treated with copper paste.
Looks good!
Lets bring back hugger and replace rivets. Old are tired.
Ugly.
Better! Small detail. Lots of small details makes bike more attractive but suptile.
LED had its time.
Lighting! BAAH! Must upgrade aux lights also with something better.
Sidestand is sticky. Doesnt feel right.
All this sticky mess.
Damn.
Clean it.
Lube it.
Extra carefull with springs. They store energy. Always use gloves and protective googles.
There!
Lets upgrade to bigger one.
Cool.
*ADV INTENSIFIES*
There it is for now. Next is to replace front pads, brake fluid and revise front suspension. Plan is to install MUPO linear springs according to my weight. If that works i will upgrade rear suspension also.
