Story took a turn. With customers bikes and a lot of other fixing I didn't have the energy to finish the TDMR job, just wanted the bike rideable so rejetted the stock carbs and put them back. Fixed my old DR650 enough for it to sell and bought a new shock for some of the money instead. So carbs are on the shelf until I can finish the black TRX project that won't start, at least now I have the parts needed to fit them on the TDM if I want...

Instead ended up with an YSS shock, going to test a Renthal 755 instead of the 749, #20 instead of #17.5 pilot jets in the carbs curing the really loud popping from exhaust.

Still thinking about 17-inch front wheel and possibly a wider rear but don't know what will fit easily. Maybe my YZF/R6 rear from the TRX will fit... A 9er fork would make it possible to fit the lighter R6 front wheel too.

TDM 850: my stop gap replacement.
