Well spotted lewis both pics are up blackstone edge, littleborough way. Are you local if so we we should get out for a ride or arrange a get to gether. be cool to meet some of you in person. fitting the tubes doesnt worry me its the fine tuning of the carb settings, balancing, float heights and all the other magic that goes on in there. But id really appreciate the help :) perhaps i should ask work if i can use the factory and organise a fettle day when the weathers a bit nicer. :hide:

The Give away was the 7 sisters, and the fact is says rochdale in your profile info :P
I'm in salford now, but used to live in whitworth, Parents are still there so i'm pretty local to Rochdale.
Would be sure good to meet up for a ride out. maybe if we get a nice weekend.

To be honest i'm the same with the carbs, I rebuilt a set for my old bike (yammy xs 750) but havent got them set up properly yet. the fine tuning is the awkward bit.

Fettle day at your work sounds great, given some good weather and some good cake you may get quite a few turn up.

Lew ;)

The timing of this thread is perfect as I am in the process of planning for similar mods for my TDM900. TKC80s are my chosen tyre and the stone guard will be from aluminium plate. If I can get organised enough I will post some pictures too.

haha cheers masterbrewer, I took a lot of inspiration from your trusty steed and blog. just need some friends as daft as me now :rotflmmfao: , im trying to upload a vid nothing amazing but was fun day out. took 13 hours to upload the 30 min 1.6 gb vid on to youtube only to be told it was too long. so tried photobucket but file size was too large , so re- edited down to 5 mins and 400mb, then upload failed at 97% f**kin pooter.

Ive resized the vid and am trying again to youtube. ill stick a link in when its finished. shame things always look tame on video. (the excuses are out allready :rotflmmfao: )

Hi huskyjon!

As I said earlier, trail is not my thing, but watching the video makes you want to venture out, especially if I won the lottery.
The video was show ball!
I concluded that God did the right thing, did not give wings to the snake.
You and "masterbrewer" should be brothers and not know.
Were separated at birth for the welfare of the mother. :punishment:
One remained in England Rochdale Lancashire and the other was sent to South Australia.
If you find God only knows what they are capable, because the toys are the same. (Dirty) :rotflmmfao:

With this Tractor "John Deere" you have on hand, suggest routes: Everest, Machu Picchu, the Andes Mountains and Great Wall of China.
Note: Duly accompanied by the brother of South Australia.

Seriously, congratulations on the courage to venture out on the trails. :drinks:

Cheers!

Looks amazing :-D I would love to live somewhere I could just head off into the wilderness on mi trusty steed, but it simply isnt allowed in England, the red sock brigade put the spoilers on that. Grrrrrrrr ill be looking to head over salterfell soon, one of the last green lanes in my area, if any of you cardapiens fancy some offroad adventurisms. We could.find.some.GS riders to humiliate on our " road bikes " hehe

other mods included MX footpegs as the originals are slippery

Those are some great mods...

How did you make the footpeg? Is there some brand/make that just fits?

The origianal rubber ones are realy slippery when wet.

I dont think anybidy makes a direct bolt on replacement with a mx layout, I had some Husqvarna Steel pegs laying about so I welded them to a.piece of 30mm long 30mm steel box section, I then drilled and tapped the box section to accept the origional bolt that holds the origional pegs on. Only arse is my pegs dont lift up like normal pegs but I dnt mind. Ill never get the pegs down with the arse jacked up so high and knobblies on anyway haha.
