Do you have a Dental Supply company anywhere near you?
I haven't got a clue what the correct description is, I used to just walk into stores and have a looksee then sign out what I wanted.

What about some copper pipe, trimmed to size? Something softer than the caliper metal is what you want.

Soak in boiling water for a few minutes, and you can form a permanent curve in stirrer.

Some progress though and a free painting lesson (much needed):
I managed to get the crud out of the grooves thanks to the helpful Carpedian hints. Also found that sticking em in the airing cupboard for a few days made all the crud powderify and was then crumbled oot very easily.
Lightly BLASTED (is that possible)

Primered

Paint and Lacquer

Just refitted the seals and pistoons with lots of red grease and brake fluid.
Any guesses of a torque setting for the calipot half bolts? Noubt in Heinz or Worksop Manuel.

Mr Henty could probably calculate the torque if ya let him know the bolt specs ?
Yeah theres a generic table of bolt size vs torque in one of them there Manuels. The plan is to "use the force"...but not too much. Should be fine, just interested in what others would guess at. If ya get enough people to guess how many sweets are in the jar you can eventually get a very accurate result.

I did hear a rumour that Goodrich (out near exeter airport) will build you a set of custom rubber hoses, so might be worth ringing them.
They do and it was, thanks for that one. The 2000 brake system on me boike has funky connector blocks but for me orig mkI hoses, they said it shouldnt be a problem, post or drop em in and they will have a look-see. Even offered to deliver to NEC if I were goin. Were keen and helpful.

Me calipot halves are soaking in jollop at the moment and I have scrubbed with toothbrush but still some skanky bits in the seal grooves. Any good tips for cleaning in this confined area without scratching bits please and thank you?
I borrowed a dremel hobby drill off a mate with a tiny wire wheel brush cleaned the grooves out a treat.
