The battery I purchased came with separate acid which I installed. The battery was then charged overnight.

Exactly this battery is pre-charged at the factory and only temporary
storable in the Shop.

Normal back the unsold batteries in the factory.
Some of these batteries are also sold illegally on the internet.

Excellent news !

John from the Parts 2 Clear eBay store got back to me today, acknowledged the problem with my battery and said he had only heard of issues of batteries that have been stood over winter. With mine being charged understood this wasn't the case.

He advised as it was still udder warrantey he would arrange for a replacement to be sent out.
I don't have to return the old one, I'm guessing its to do with the fact i don't think your allowed to post batteries after they have been 'activated'

So, the only thing I can moan about is the inconvenience of it going early on me and having the get into that bassard battery tray again !!!

for a process that could have been a lot worse I'm quite pleased, Especially with the sellers service.

I told John as I was that please with the quick response and resolution I'd post a recommendation on the forum, so I'll post up a link in the recommended bit soon.

Cheers again for everyone's help on this one
Lew ;)

2 information sheets from Yuasa themselves, I posted these before, but I think it's worth posting again especially this time of year when temperature is down. Well worth downloading and keeping for reference.
