I thought finding Insurance cover would be easier than it is.

if I am in the country i can certainly meet up for a LOCAL knowledge lakes tour to take you around all the best bits , over kellet would be a great base for lakes

I've put together a rough map of what I'd be up for given 5 weeks and 2 wheels... A smidge over 3000 miles and it's not a complete loop!
You are guaranteed to get some bad weather at some stage here in the UK so best bet is to get some waterproof gear and just keep riding. One piece thin shell rain suits can be had for about £30.
