Cheers Dappers, I believe the switch is the same for Mk1 and Mk2 all the way from 1991-2001. I know its different from the 9er.

I'll have another look Pantboy, I spoke to Rob (Rsrocket) who had the bike before Lester (Ninja), and he had the same problem as it failed an MOT on it. He bent the arm forward a bit and it had been fine since. The plunger as far as I can see isnt sticking, because if it was, wouldn't the light be stuck on??

Just hadda look at you linky dink dappers, its my front brake light switch thats dicky!!!

Haha, i cant scrub it off again, the paper will tear!

Really annoying, just taken the switch off again, and when i plug it in it works fine, but when fitted in situe it doesnt. Its juat that actuator arm thats dicky. Quite a bit of play in it.

Hi butcher650!

That's what happened with mine. Off the bike seemed to work perfect. When settled on the bike, it did not work.

That's why I dismounted and made a small adjustment to the internal contact parts.

Rode and worked perfect and now make many months.

Cheers!

Hi Sid,

Irritating isn't it?!

I'm going to do some DIY type bogery to the original switch I think...Buying a new one is the easy way out surely?!!

Go OEM, had 2 off ebay, one didn't work at all and the next had a spring so strong the lever couldn't push it off. Crap.
