is this a clockwise route?
Could meet at kirkby lonsdale (devils bridge) have a brew whilst waiting.
what time are we thinking?
I'd probably drop off at Preston to go back to Manchester

I was thinking of an anti clockwise route but if others would prefer clockwise it works for me, maybe need to get the satnav out as I don't really know the run that way round.

You'll lose your license in about 30 minutes on that beast.
I'm not going if Matlock is going. (See 900 air filter thread).

Unless anyone has objections, start from Preston and run anti-clockwise. Meet at Tickled Trout garage at 10am.
Anyone know any good stop offs for a natter/tea/coffee/cake? When I go out that way for a run I tend to do it in one go, although I don't go out Hawes way.

Hawes has a lovely cafe there, I always stop for a brew ( and they have cake)

Hawes sounds good. I think it's about 2/3 wayish time wise so a good midway stop. I was out that way yesterday having a look around. Some really nice roads on the way to Hawes from Ingleton. I wasn't plagued with dawdling cars much either.

Should still be OK for this ... my only comment on a great route would be perhaps miss out M6 on return and come back via Devil's Bridge/Kirkby Lonsdale ... ?
I think we used this way in 2011 …?

That brings back memories!
So assume you mean down through Kirkby Lonsdale and then pick up M6 at Lancaster?
It's ok by me. Anyone else?

or carry on from Hawes down kettlewell, there's Pendle power fest on, I can drop off and mooch about there and make a day of it (subject to weather)
onto A59 back to preston

I'm easy either way. What does anyone else think.?
Pete recommends to drop down to Devils Bridge
Drewpy recommends Hawes - Kettlewell - Skipton and back on A59.
I guess if there's enough people going we could do both?

I prefer we all stick together TBH.
Have we a role call?

Must admit I agree with drewpy in terms of it being better to stick together.
OK please vote:
Pete's proposal - via devils bridge
drewpy's proposal via Kettlewell.
Vote which you prefer all those who are going. It'll also give us a count of who is likely going.

Sadly I'm not going to be able to make this, we're in the midst of major work being done on the house and the flooring guy is laying the kitchen floor on Saturday, which the "site foreman" informs me means muggins here will be moving appliances back to their rightful place and refixing them on Sunday. Sorry to be missing this, have a good, safe ride fellas and I'll try and make the next one.
