Had to make an essential journey to the shop, stopped on the way to take a pic and admire the result of my handiwork over the last 3 months. So pleased, rides like a new bike.
Obviously saw you on a Niner and assumed you were pink side I have to go check on some old folks so the bike is getting some miles. Yes I know they live in next town officer, but it's the scenic route...

I'll just say this.
I'm averaging 1000 miles per month with my job, to various parts of Scotland, twice a month to Newton Stewart over 130 miles away.
I have yet to see police checks on the road. I did see cops in a couple of roadside carparks, obviously asking people why they were stopped there, but I get the feeling the police are applying good common sense.
I saw a group of about ten bikers riding along together this afternoon, which I thought was probably asking for trouble !
Ohlins, PC3, fuel cut defeat, +4deg timing, 17" front wheel.
Fitted an old Topbox. I then went to deliver some bits feeling quite superior with the ease of distribution due to my newly acquired load carrying capacity whilst simultaneously feeling embarrassed at my commuting appearance and general topboxness.
To topbox or not to topbox, that is the question.................
What's brand is the front tyre? Looks a bit interesting.
Had a run out on mine today to get some roofing bolts from Screwfix. Funny how a 25 mile round trip showed up as nearer 55 miles on the clocks. It must be some sort of problem with the odometer
MOT due on the 4th, so it’ll be getting another run out in a few days.
Another clean MOT today. That's a clean sweep since 2006 when I got the bike with less than a mile o the clock! Only 36k miles though!! (Hangs head in shame)
Lock onto my co-ordinates and beam me up !!
04 900 - 92 mk 1 - r 1150 rs - Z550 A1 - 2x bonnies - plastic slug -XL185 - ...not in that order !! (and one or two i don't want / dare to own up to !!)
Had a first run out today in the sunshine to get acquainted with my new toy (Matlock's yellow Niner). Great fun, got caught out a couple of times while re-learning the power characteristics of a twin😃 but loved it.
Two wrongs dont make a right but three rights make a left.
Took the back wheel to get it's new Angel GT fitted, pleased to hear the shop (DBS Pumpherston) complaining they're too busy at the moment, so it seems to have picked up from when they were doing nothing for a while last year
Ohlins, PC3, fuel cut defeat, +4deg timing, 17" front wheel.
Hello Moto 😍 just back from the "testing" where does time go ? Somehow 51 miles were done.

2 degrees celsius, and the tyre warmed quite well with some torquey acceleration, then off to my favourite bit of brown shellgrip. (which is on the way to ASDA)
At speed the Angel GT tracks a steady line.
Under power coming out of corners it feels planted and dependable
It plays nice with my first generation Pilot Power on the front.
Happy at high lean angles so a bargain £90 as far as I'm concerned !
Good shout Al !
According to Dave Moss I might have too much rebound set on the rear shock ! Something else to play with

I’m running Angel GTs on the Buell, I really like ‘em. I’ll be looking for a set for the TDM when the current Avon’s are ready for replacement.
Stripped the threaded plate that holds the screw in the lithium battery earth terminal. Didn't like the thin soft stamped ones as supplied, so made new ones from brass square bar to give more thread depth and fit the square terminal properly. Also replaced the horrible screws with short cap screws.

Filled the Scottoiler and fired up. Started right away on gas from yesteryear. No ban on riding here, so went for a little ride. Both tires have lost a few psi over the winter, so corrected pressure at first gas station. It was wonderful to get on the asphalt again! Driving skills a bit rusty, as expected. Must practice a lot, I guess.
Location:West of France, south of the Loire...the good bit !

Fitted cheap Ebay pedals to my 3vd TDM 850. Been looking for something like these for ages. NOT a straight swap ! You'll see in one of the photos that the pivot section is a bit wider than the original mounting bracket. A bit of delicate hacksaw and file work was required. But I gave up on fitting the return springs, I would have had to grind away a fair bit of the pedal.
Finished job seems okay, but a long road test will confirm, I hope ?

I have something similar fitted to mine, once you get used to the extra grippiness on your boots they are really good for spreading weight through. I have a back injury and nerve damage in my leg so ideal for that extra support.
