Last week over two days I did 650 miles to Plockton, Ullapool, across to Turriff and home. Here's the great view NW from the Glen Docherty viewpoint on the A832 towards Loch Maree:-

The wife and I went for a roundtrip in south Norway - 840kms in 4 days. Luvly weather, twisted roads - pure motorcycle happiness 😎
Set a new record - 340kms to reserve! No bomb, as speed hardly exceeded 80km/h...
Wifes NC750 used 9.26 liters when mine required 15.56, quite a difference...
Happy dayz!

fitted the handlebar risers from aliexpress and was much better

fitted a new stator cover on my friends mt-09 tracer and gave it a test ride, bloody fast and the speed a bit too addictive TBH, made my 850 seem slow but I had a numb bum after 1/2 hour.

modern 2020 suspension was nice too

Minor issue with gear lever peg. Putting on a new rubber it starts spinning in the hole. It's a sort of peened over rivet.
Took off lever and set the end on my rivet dimple block to avoid flattening and applied light peening with a ball end punch to the lever end. Nice and tight in the hole. New rubber and jobs a good 'un.

picked up the TDM from Kais today and what a difference. braking as well as suspension is a lot better now and feels a lot more planted.

very pleased although it cost an eye watering £300 inc Hagon springs. they basically stripped down the forks and setup the static sag too.

very pleased as its a different bike now (for the better)

did they have to separate the forks and if so did they replace the fork bushes as the originals would most likely be mullered?  I reckon £300 is aok.

they stripped the forks, but didn't need to change the bushes as I did those about 3k miles ago.
I suppose I paid for their knowledge, they do a lot of BSB stuff and are in high demand.
I'm happy with the outcome though

Just looking at the forecast for tomorrow, patchy rain but mostly dry between Livingston and Glencoe, fancying a run upto the Green Welly and may go beyond, if anyone is interested in breaking out for a bit ?.....a photo at the Glen Etive/Skyfall road for the album perhaps ?

nothing set in stone yet, just wanted to ask first if  anyone else is up for it before making my plan ?

Sunday might be slightly better weather if anyone prefers a run after church ? ;)

One free bitch each about how dirty my bike is...
