Took a ride, down to Seaburn, for fish and chips. Well that's the brief version.

The truth is I'ld worked down there 3 days this week, and the hotel I stayed in called me yesterday to say I'ld left my camera, so I rode the smokey 900 (not that smokey to be honest) down, through a bit of rain, and stayed for lunch to thank them :)

Got to say, that area is coming up and is really attractive, the North Sea is freezing cold, but it gets some stunning sunrises. Props to the Seaburn Inn, for great rooms, good service and good food. Well worth a visit or to use as a base to explore that great coastline.

Wheel finally returned after some 4 weeks. Didn't pay either as mechanic bit embarrassed.

Yuasa battery going on too as stood for so long due to my illness.

But, you know what, might have a run out later  ;)

Lee, always check and print off the page as ebay do change the description after you have ordered,

I've had 3 of those thicker pads over the years

I got stung like that too, I ordered from a specific seller because they said the item was in the UK ,and would arrive within 2 days, and after I ordered, those details changed for the worst.

This has happened twice to me in the last couple of months. Very obvious that said parts are coming from china. Pisses me off as I won't buy from there if known.

Yesterday I drilled holes in the ends of my OEM mufflers, to see what the results are.

After removing any swarf ( very little ) and black painting at the sites of my Yamicide, I decided today to have a bijou pootle.

I can say that there seems to be a bit of improvement in exhaust note, more so at idle, and a subtle improvement to pick up.  General response seems altogether sweeter.

To the point where the stumble and roughness under 2000 rpm seems to have delightfully disappeared.

Only my second short ride since becoming an official old fart at 75 the other week!

Yeah, I know I'm getting to time when I stop riding, but bugger it, I still like doing it.  Seems a long time ago when us schoolkids rode around my mates farm.  Hmmm, that was sixty odd years ago!

  Okay,   keep smilin'    Regards,       Paul.
