Got mine in the conservatory at the mo. Wanted to sort some electrical gremlins and have a check over for the MOT later in March.
Only prob so far is the full tank leaking a little fuel when stood upright, stunk the house out.

Bit doing a bit of MOT prep on mine. Like Trev I've got a little play on the rear suspension. Gave up trying to find it.
It hasn't been far this last year but still nice to get a look over.

Well worth a peep at the swinger pivot. I put an endless chain on last time, and remember thinking that the same guy as who grease's the steering head bearings was let loose on there.
Lock onto my co-ordinates and beam me up !!

04 900 - 92 mk 1 - r 1150 rs - Z550 A1 - 2x bonnies - plastic slug -XL185 - ...not in that order !! (and one or two i don't want / dare to own up to !!)

For last year's MOT I pulled the pivot shaft out to find the bearings were gubbed and the shaft was too worn to reuse.

I looked at getting the bearing/seal kit and new shaft, but found a secondhand swingarm with almost new bearings on ebay for £40.

There seems to be a lot of used cheap spares surfacing now

:good: I had it to bits last year and apart from a few light marks here and there I couldn't see any real probs. I re-greased and put it back together again.

Took it out for it's first ride after fitting new tyres, bearings and discs to the newly powder coated wheels and putting the old lasers back on.

I still love riding this bike........

It was also the first trip since a valet and ceramic coating so I was hoping to avoid water and mud but was unsuccessful- let's see how easy it is to clean now!

Well Rob I think I was more unsuccessful at avoiding mud and water, this is mine last night,

I cleaned it in the dark, couldn't put it away like this,

I was hoping to give it a second clean today, but is pissing down so it will have to wait lol

Cliff

the oil feed pipe goes from the oil reservoir to the rear sprocket, via the swing arm pivot point, (takes up any movement needed)

where it dispenses at about 7 o'clock on the sprocket

this type of oiler does not need much gravity head as such to work,  the oil is displaced and drips out when you turn the feed,

3rd bike I've fitted like this no issues, works perfect, you can see in the pic the chain still looks good  :good:

a lot neater than fitting on the res on the bars and running the oil pipe all over the bike etc, to the rear sprocket, in my humble opinion  :unsure2:
