Going to just south of Oban on Saturday, then round Mull on Sunday. Staying in Acharacle on Sunday night then will see what the weather is doing before deciding where to go on Monday. It is looking like light rain at the moment

OK thanks, I'll keep it in mind if I get out that way, if I can suffer the shame of an having an untidy bike !

It's really nice down there, it's where my wife is from too, on the Solway coast on the other side of Castle Douglas. Very laid back people too

He is bullshitting. They were received and fitted prior to departure, along with the titanium rear axle nut recently purchased. Both bikes ran like a dream. We went over to Mull and on to Ardnamurchan, then over to Fort William on Monday and south to Ayr. Great ride today from Ayr to Sanquhar and up the pass to Crawfordjohn, then back roads to Moffat. Final run from Moffat past St Marys Loch to Selkirk. Both bikes washed and put to bed before sampling the last 2 bottles of Dark Ale I brewed over a year ago , followed by some Scottish Heavy. Great trip. Next one will be Northern Spain at the end of June.

They scared the crap out of me first time I saw them, driving along the motorway next to them in the fog, and two big horses heads appeared  !
