Couldn't get a bacon sandwich because of the five deep queue at the cafe counter, so went to Boxhill.
As I was leaving a French sounding guy turned up on a nice blue 900.

was thinking about going, but got up too late. I do like that CB500X, got those on my shortlist to test ride.
The French bloke could've been Fernihough from here maybe? Not heard from him in a while.

Gave her a nice foam bath after the submerged ride Saturday. Mandatory lubrication of chain and other bits afterwards. Looking forward to making her dirty again )
Found that the oxford adventure hotgrip slips around a bit. Will take care of that Friday, I think.
Failed to find a good engine for the beemer, so the old one will be rebuild.
Take Care and Glückauf

Fixing the leaking thermostat housing.......success !
Fixing the spluttering at very low revs.....no success ! Stripped the carbs and cleaned all the bits, re-built and still getting the exact same problem. Soooo, looks like it might be a blockage or air is getting in there somewhere.

Fixed the grip with some superglue, swapped the rear shock on a MK I, suspension setup and new brake pads. Was the MK I of a buddy from the German forum.
Took the XT for the test ride, the glue hat to set

I did the final bits of a full service, having already road-tested the valve job rebuild.
I made a few comments on the Valve Check and Coolant Pipe O ring threads.
I've used stainless where possible including new clamps for the exhaust. I made a tool to fit my torque wrench to the steering ring nut using a spanner designed for a pedal cycle old-style bottom bracket.
The brakes after a full clean, all fluid and front pad change feel terrific, not that they were at all poor before.
The throttles did not need rebalancing despite shim changes.
The chain only needed tightening by five flats after a full year (thank you, Scottoiler) plus a minor tweek on the RHS to align the wheel. I use a pair of skip-dived old fluorescent tubes to do the alignment.
So, all ready for the new season - bring it on.

Hi guys!
Today arrived my front tire (Pirelli sport demon) purchase made via internet.
I left happy to exchange it in a tire repair shop of a friend of mine.
In my town do not have many bikes on 300cc.
After raising the front with difficulty, the boy pulled the wheel and quickly changed the tire.
As I was talking with 2 more people who were close, distracting and did not follow the assembly.
When out on the bike, the speedometer was crazy, the pointer jumped over popcorn. I returned to the tire repair shop and then remove the wheel. Conclusion: 2 teeth of the sensor rotor were broken by incorrect installation. . Part number 5VU2517G00
I went to Yamaha dealership and was stabbed .: € 40.11 = R $ 142.00
Pay on time and Yamaha makes the request with a minimum of 10 days for delivery.
I assume the injury, because the boy is not to blame. He is a person with a good heart and a hard worker. There has both custom with motorcycles above 300 cc. I should have put the rotor in place.
Warn friends that the rotor sensor is very delicate and teeth are not deep.
So take care when removing and installing the front wheel. I thought of asking for a tournament to make a aluminum or bronze, but the piece seems to be magnetized.
I pulled two broken teeth and set the piece in place without teeth, the obvious pointer still crazy.
The speedometer pointer oscillates too.
Please ask:
The bike can be used until the new part to arrive?
Has anyone had the sensor rotor broken in the assembly?
Exist a cheaper alternative than buying OEM?
Cheers!

Hi to all!
Have you MR. Masao (Japanese) resident in the city of São Paulo (serves private purchases), has no online store.
He was lodged in TDM900brasil Brazilian forum as an alternative to get imported parts (original).
The prices are always lower than the authorized Yamaha.
I made a quote to him and received the answer:
Number part 5VU-2517G-00 has changed for 5RB-2517G-00 current code
Sensor rotor 31.07 euros = R $ 110.00
I will make the deposit to him.
Note: For 3 years ago I bought the chain of command with him.
Cheers!
