Dunno about me mk2a bits, these is me mkI brake bits. Since everything else in the front brake system is going to be replaced, it would be rude not to....including new OEM front discs, me lottery win afforded a set off the bay for £82;

Pity. Surprised they went for £82, ya can't get new discs of any make for that. I reckon the oem's are the best lookin' wans too.

I thought ya had MK2a brake hoses fitted to yar MK1.
spyball alarm/immob, bluespot brake calipers and Stainless hoses, Fournales air adjustable shock with Remote Resevoir, forks raised 10mm thru yokes, racetech linear fork springs in 15 wt oil, Kappa wingrack/luggage, heated grips, Kedo handguards, dual heat controller to power heated jacket liner and or pants!!, Stebel 136DB horn, K&N air filter, colour matched Baglux tank cover (magnetic tank bag modified to fit cover), osram +50% headloight bulbs, headlight protector,"NitramSpecial" parking loight, tail light indicators all running on LED's & incorporate "Lite Buddies", MK7 Scottoiler fitted, taller screen, 2-2 stainless steel CCC's, Devil stainless down pipes. MKI Renntec engine crash bars & sump guard.
engine changed july 2007 on a dyno run it made 79.1BHP / Torque 59.9Had a brief flirtation with a 1999 MKIIa but it blew an exaust valve on the M5 so was sold on to be repaired.

I did hear a rumour that Goodrich (out near exeter airport) will build you a set of custom rubber hoses, so might be worth ringing them.
They do and it was, thanks for that one. The 2000 brake system on me boike has funky connector blocks but for me orig mkI hoses, they said it shouldnt be a problem, post or drop em in and they will have a look-see. Even offered to deliver to NEC if I were goin. Were keen and helpful.
Ahem, so the hoses went off to Goodridge afore Crimbo after the phone discussion where they said they could do new rubber hoses. What with Crimbo and whatever they only got round to calling me back today to confirm what colour I wanted...."err rubber colour would be good" at this point I realise there is some misunderstanding and they donut do rubber hoses at all.
Sooo fingers crossed the old'uns make it back to me safely so I can continue the search. They were talking about £90 for the front hoses...gulp.

Yup, I found a place that said they knew someone who could do it and it wouldnt cost much. But then Wicky mentioned Goodridge and I wondered if they were just gonna send em off to Goodridge anyways. Was odd because I def said rubber and they def said yes...but they def don't do em.

Peat did yew send Badriche a set of MKI or MKII wubbers ? reason i ask is if they don't make it back to ya i still have the original set from No.7 if ya knead to yews dem as templates.

I asked for stainless and the high-draw-licks shop what sent em off somewhere said that should be fine......they ain't stainless but not too bothered. The end what attached to the master cylinder had a wee wubber boot on it and its still shiny loike new so oi could just boot em all up....but probably wont bother.

Fair doos. Find it annoying on my shiney SS braided hoses with rusty non-SS fittings, just makes 'em look crap overall.
Are they going into storage, along with the calipots an' forks, or are ya gonna actually fit these this year ?
