ah, that one. The water was coming from the exhaust pipe.
Anyway, I think I found the problem. Ref also another posting 'Is this wise?' by Viper Biker.
I mixed up the plugged hose that sits on the RH vacuum nipple and the cooling fluid return hose for
the carb heating system.
This caused water to be sucked in by the vacuum connection.
I rebuild the engine again, being convinced it was the head gasket, this time working extreme clean making sure mating surfaces
were clinically clean.
By accident( unnoticed) the hose (vacuum) came off the return connection on the RH side of the RH carb when I testrun the engine again.
This time the engine kept on running, but after I shut it down I noticed water running down the side of the block
and when I saw where it came from I realized my mistake. Well, I got some practise rebuilding the engine top.
Hope now everything will be tight with reused gaskets.

Having some new Metzler Z6 Roadtec fitted todayas well. Got a bit tired of those BT020's. They seem to perform better on my
Honda Sevenfifty.

Drove my first 150 km and took it through the MOT without remarks. Also synchronized the carbs, but still a bit of vibration.
I tried to push the bike during the first km's but didn't dare to go over 5000 rpm.
Hope the oil consumption is at a lower rate now.
Thanks to everyone replying and giving advice.
The Metzlers feel 10 times better than the BT020's.
