last week every time I started the bike in the morning, the clock/trips reset, battery was holding 12.7V, but dropped to 9.6v when I tried to start, so I replaced the battery.
Did it help ?

I do not know, as it will not start, as per my previous post,
the engine is turning over fine,
and the clocks are not resetting, lots of battery life , but its not starting, thats another issue

Okay, this probably means voltage no longer drops that much.
Did you check the lean angle sensor (DIAG 8#) ? https://www.youtube....h?v=rdx1cOEWDB4

thanks for the link
but my bike is showing no error codes, in the link his bike fires then stops,
my bike does not fire at all, it just turns the engine over,
I will check tilt sensor out at the weekend
thanks steve

Is the LCD speedo screen blank ? If so check the ECU plug under the left side panel. With the ECU disconnected it is still possible to crank the engine on the starter....I found that out at the weekend !

Is the fuel pump priming ? Also, have you checked for a spark at the plug ? And finally tried the key wiggle thingy ?

The manual is only on my pc/phone/pad, don't keep a hard copy.
You ar closer than you think with that relay.
It's a broken red wire on the relay that's causing the problem.
I cleaned out the connector block hole and there is nothing left of the spade.
To test that this was the only problem I striped the wire back pushed it up into the hole to make contact with the pin an presto, fired first time.
The question now is how to affect a permanent fix.
Had another look at the wiring diagram, the red wire is a permanent live from the fuel injection system fuse to the relay, when energised it connects it to the red/blue that runs to the fuel pump, simples.
I've just diagnosed the exact same fault (down to the same wire!!)
Similar temp fix pending a bit more time to affect a permanent solution.
One to watch out for as it looks like a weak spot in the build.
@Celtic - did you ever get to a permanent fix for this...I assume that the mini pins in the adapter can be found separately, but it's knowning what type to get!

Never got round to it.
I have a spare loom and have cut the wires about 10 inches long and will replace the whole onyx with the new one in the summer.
Trouble is that it packed up all together now.
Pump is running but it just died and won't start, that's why I bought the fazer.
Could be down to the same plug but a different wire, I'll find out later.
Spare loom sounds like a plan...
The extra length will make access easier, and also potentially allow for some sort of cover to reduce the risk...

If you look from underneath, you can see where the water can spray up right onto the plug.
Yeah its almost funnelled straight onto the connector isn't it
