Is the wire you used for the relay repair large enough to carry the right current?

fair point...I used a slightly narrower wire to get it through the multi block...back to the drawing board then :blush2:

Getting somewhere now....tried to put the suppressor cap back on and found the retaining clips inside 'em had fell to bits. On closer inspection it looked as though they'd been arcing and burned away. Tried to test for continuity through the cap and got none so removed the resistor, spring and spark plug retainer and still no continuity!?...with nothing to loose I destroyed the cap to find that the spark plug side of the terminal had been arching to the spring to the point at which it'd become so burnt It wouldn't conduct.

As a consequence, both coils are damaged. The HT side of the left hand coil is kaput and the right hand coil is showing 32.4K Ohms :(

So, has anyone out there got a pair of coils and a suppressor cap going spare?...reasonable rates apply ;)

Yes, that's why you've got the Wemoto and Rallyist linkydink above.  Much less expensive than OEM. :)

Well, I replaced the coils, plugs and the suppressor cap and this seems to have cured the misfire. Now there's another issue....it has no mid range power. When I pull away there's hesitance and then when I try to wind it on, instead of torque I get slow steady acceleration as though it can't get enough air.
I'd cleaned the air filter by washing it firstly with pure washing up liquid then I flushed it with water, then isopropyl and finally dried it with compressed air. So I removed the air filter but there was no change......any ideas ?

Rev the tits off it?

Heard recently that they're prone to clogging up.

So go on a 30 minute ride, in no higher gear than 4th.

'n Sometimes these electrickery systems need a reset when components have been tinkered with?

Check the co settings via the dashboard, I've had them reset to -250 before now causing all manner of head scratching before figuring it out.

Rubbers can't be discounted because even the slightest anomaly causes poor running. Appears to be OK, but isn't.

I usually experience hunting on part throttle at constant speed around 3-4000 revs if this happens.

TDM will still run (not very well) even if the timing is out a tooth here or there. Been inside recently, or has someone else? Worth checking.

ECU resetting, short the two disconnected battery leads together for a few seconds then leave for 10 mins.
