Wickster has a hand free text device for the bike....
I will be handing over my ignition key to Avonne for safe keeping (avoiding a slap on the back of my head) so no burn-outs. Can't promise no silly dancing in a bar though...

The older I get, the better I was96 MkII in yellow & silver with bluespots, braided lines, Remus 2 into 1, Hagon rear shock & fork springs, bashplate, heated grips,Motech pannier racks, Road Attacks, Jockoiler, Baglux tank cover & bag. Gone to a far better place - hasn't it Remo?
Another 96 Mk2 in yellow & silver - absolutely standard & pristine ( apart from a butchered rear mudguard - but I'm looking for a new one

Weather looks like occasional showers but nothing too bad during the day, but Metcheck reckons 27mm of rain on Saturday night so don't pitch tents too close to the river

i need to fit new front brake pads tonight, adjust me chain, stop the tomtom vibrating with liberal application of insulation tape and then pack.....

honest You have the fine tradition of Mk1 riders to keep up, I'd put my bike back together by 7pm last night which is far too organised, luckily I've just realised I've not checked my chain tension yet.

I'm gonna go and sit on my bike till it's time for me to set off and meet up with TonyDevil
seeing as I'm setting of about midday tomorrow, 15 hours had better go quick sitting outside on the bike

I'm mostly packed now - just one pannier to put on in the morning.
Tent & camping gear deposited up in Oldham today - ready for setting off just after lunch
Boy has the day booked of school
Got scenic route through Notts, Derbyshire, up to Holmfirth, then across Saddleworth Moor sorted for 'commute' to work
Round Manchester southern ringroad, then down thro' Wales for afternoon run
Got neoprene mitts & sealskinz socks packed, so sod any rain
See ya's all tomorrer

me careful routing of the scottman tube wasnt so careful
it moved a little and the tyre has been touching it, it had worn thru over half the pipe
hence the left hand edge of the tyre being covered in oil
its now been replaced
didnt have time to do me brake pads tho, still a 1mm min on each of them so should last me the weekend
