I'm so glad to have found an active TDM forum - I was beginning to think such a thing didn't exist.
I bought my TDM 900 last August and I love her to bits. I'm in the process of doing some upgrades and the next fix on the list is going to be the air intake flap adjustment; sounds brilliant. So far, I've fitted:
- Beowulf cans
- Givi rack and 52 litre topbox
- Givi pannier racks
- 12v d.c. power socket
- Sat nav mount
- Digital gear indicator
- Scottoiler
- Louder horn
- PIAA dipped and main beam bulbs
Here's a couple of pictures for you:

Hope to meet up soon. I live near Devizes in Wiltshire so if you fancy a rideout sometime, give me a shout.
Cheers
Kav

Just thought I'd finally get round to saying hello as I've had my 56 reg 900 for a few months now and I can say that I really enjoying all things TDM, also have a 03 Triumph bonneville in the garage.
I did the RLBR 1000 last June on the TDM, I did spot another TDM doing it but never got the chance to say hello.
Regards

I'm Dean from Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, I have recently bought a TDM in the UK, it will stay there at my brothers place in Berkshire for me to ride on trips to the UK. TDM's are very rare here in Malaysia which is a shame because they would be very suited to the roads here, which are farely high quality and well surfaced with plenty of twisties once out of the cities.
I look forward to playing with my new toy and getting info off this site.

I've bought a '96 in that yellow which is in great nick. It's my first bike and I'm enjoying it riding. It does mean that when I look for a new house in a couple of months a garage will be top priority.

I have a 1991 TDM, bought in June, with Wavy discs, Hagon shock and Motad (carbon effect) Nexus pipes.
Winter plans are to check the shims as its done 23,800 miles. Slacken off the throttle cables, no play in the throttle at all and fit braided lines on the front - original 3 line or racing set up which would you recommend??
Plans for next year are new tyres as it currrently has a mixture of Metzler front and Conti rear. Not interested in longevity but lots of grip, recommendations gratefully received.
Gearbox is a bit clunky between 1st to 2nd & 2nd to 3rd is this typical??
Looking forward to receiving advice.
All the best,

Oh yes, very agricultural

At risk of starting a food fight, I use BT020s on my Mk2 and they'll run right to the edge with no real issues
Oh yeah

I'm nicky from SW Scotland. Just bought a '98 TDM 850 and loving it

Rode it up from Peterborough a couple of weeks ago - could have easily done another 300 miles when I got it home.
Using it mainly as a second bike for my training to be a bike instructor on.
The TDM never fails put bring HUGE grins on my face, even in the most recent crapiest coldest wettest weather you could image!!

Hello, I just discovered Carpe a few hours ago and decided to join you all.

I'm dutch, from the north of the Netherlands, where it's cold and rainy (as usual

Most of the km's is commuting, and of course some holidays and weekend tours, usually 30000 km/year.
Because I'm lazy I fitted a Scottoiler E system a few months ago, very happy with it so far! Also replaced the handlebars by an 2009 Tenere one, this is much better for me because it's wider, and because it's lower too I used 35 mm risers to correct this.
For the rest the bike is still original, but I'm thinking of modding the headlight because the original one isn't very impressive.
Speaking of that, anyone has a 900 headlight for sale? Want one to experiment with

Ok, so far my introduction, any questions I will be happy to answer!
And excuses for my Dutch-English, not used to speak/write in English

See you later!
