I like the idea of doing it like a time trial, say on the way up, then a leisurely toury bit on the way back. What do you think?

Just wanted to be sure Ivan smile.gif

I can get to LE on a Friday night, so if your planning it for a Saturday run - I may well join you and pootle home on the Sunday.

If I cannot get a day off - I wreckon I have to do it twice in 48 hours =

Part A = Home to LE 230
Part B = LE > JoG = 840
Part C = JoG to home 610

Total 1680

Thinking.............................................

Yeah I figured Lands End to John O'Groats for the timed leg, then a nice easy tour through Scotland on the way home.

OK time to fess up I'm a big softy if we are still talking about covering 840 miles in one hit count me out, even doing it in two days will be a stretch for me.
Well by my calculations if we avoid the motorways its actually more like 930 miles.

I think we should start a new thread next week when the dust has settled a bit.

TS50ER, Suzuki GT125, Cagiva 125, Suzuki GT250 20 year gap. Honda CBF600. Discovered the joy of TDM, 1974 GT250 has joined the stable
Vario touring screen, Stainless Steel Rad Guard, Fender Extender (it came off), Givi V46 Topbox (inc brake light), SW-Motech Engine Bars, Wingrack, LED Tail Light
Still in the shed:- BMW Hand Guards, Heated Grips, Aux Lamps.

No worries Landy.. If the truth be known I would love to do it over a few days but family/ time and money say noooooo!!!

Since I have got a 4or 5 day pass for the ring trip next year so another one for this is a def no no!! ranting.gif

But if I say I'll do it over a weekend I'd be allowed able to get the pass signed??

P.S Still lovin my Rangy even more now wub.gif
