I assume you have powered them up to check they really are white?

1992 Mk1, 76k miles, Hagon springs, MTC exhaust, 4½ gears Gone now :(
2009 900 abs, 42k miles, Yamaha heated grips, double bubble screen, R&G crash bungs, scottoiler, Autocom, 1500 lumen LED spotlights.

Yes. Was a bit pissed off as this weekend is full on TDM stuff

Fitted mine today. Went to B&Q got some heavy duty 'L' brackets, cut n drilled to suit

All working. Bright and will do the job. Have ordered Chris G's lights so will review again when they arrive

I got a set of those LED lights last year and put them just in under the fairing. They are very effective and consume hardly any power, a great buy.

Have you ever lent someone 20 quid and never seen it again? It was probably worth it.

Long Loved TDM is no longer with me...

Finally fitted lights and hand guards.
The lights are a great improvement but need to see if I can find some were to mount them higher to get a better spread of light.
Plus the left one is partly obscured by radiator.
So as they are legal have fitted switch and they are wired in to the high beam.
e.g. on with High beam or off.

Yes they are bright and very white.
Make a bid difference but I feel they would be better if higher, I think they would through a longer beam when higher.

I have always liked lots of light on the road when driving at night.
Especially when doing long runs on country roads.

They are yummy, I have one pair, but I'm not sure is it possible to mount them on tdm, because of bad combination of fairings, mudguard and fork travel...

They're better for usd forks.

I will try to fix them next week... unsure.gif

I've been building MR16 based lights for off road mountain biking for for the last 10 years (bit of a personal obsession really) . My current set are a pair of 5W mr16 LED lamps mounted in a pair of old hair gel tins. A 10 x AA NiMh battery pack, gives me around 2.5 hrs of light.

MR16 bulbs fit perfectly into 40mm waste pipe in fact you can use a fitting like this



and the screw fitting holds the bulb in with and need for glue etc

How about using an LED MR-16 bulb? It wont draw anything like the power, and should run a lot cooler.

My brother made some for his pedal bike

hooked up to a dynamo and a battery on the bike. ill take some pics, might ave to get him to explain them though.
