Well Matt i just wear me thong when it's hot m8

Commando for me when its hot - I just have to be careful of the rather strong velcro fly on my bike breeks when taking a comfort break.

Went to Aldi tonight. Thought the jackets looked ok, the pants are way too short in the shin. When you sit on the bike they'll ride up over your boots, just like my Akito ones do.
Bought the wind jammer thingy pants and top. Look good value. No helmets or locks though. I thought the gloves were pretty nasty. Tried 'em on and was even less impressed. Everyone to their own I guess.

I couldn't see any thongs there though. tongue.gif

Got a pair of their(Aldi) boots today.
Got to say I'm impressed.
My trousers are too tight to fit outside, but inside is the new black as they say, this season.
On the plus side they softened up within half an hour are very warm and compliment my new pants (thanxs Favs).
Will be knocking on Lidl's door first thing Monday to get a jacket and lid, then I just have to find a way to justify £160 for a new pair of summer gloves (I wants me some handroids)

I got a chain and a bike cover. The chain is OK but the cover is a bit light, but what do you expect for £7.99. Good value!

Been to aldi & got the pants. Went for a ride & must say I cant fault em. Very warm but I had no rain so cant say if they are waterproof. Wifes bought a pair of Richa ones for over a ton so it will be a really good comparison. Wouldnt it be great if the £30 pants out performed the ones £100 more expensive. rotflmmfao.gif

I bought the neckwarmer thingy, 4.99 how bad could it be?
Out today, 240 miles, over Hartside Moor, Alston, and Middleton in Teesdale. Bloody cold, but my neck stayed very comfy. The fatchap's very happy!!!!

Tis worth a look in your local Lidl with several biker gear offers: jacket/trousers/helmet/ boots/thermals/tank bags/ locks etc.. unsure.gif
An old Cherokee told his grandson, "My son, there is a battle between two wolves inside us.
One is Evil. It is anger, jealousy, greed, resentment, inferiority, lies, and ego.
The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, humilty, kindness, empathy and truth.
The boy thought a while then asked "Which Wolf wins?"

"The one you feed" replied the old man...

Got me some thermals. Pants, top and socks.

Tried on a helmet and wasn't comfortable around the ears, mine aren't exactly big so cant imagine what it would of been like for someone with big ears.

Had the EU safety stamp but not the British motor sport one, so wouldn't be allowed to use one on a track day

They seemed pretty solid though and came with good extras though.

Locks looked good and the other stuff looked all right too, apart from the gloves which looked very cheapy. Cant beat £17 Hein gericke summer gloves

Went with the intention of buying a helmet, jacket, thermal pants and top.
Got everything except the jacket, it seemed like very thin material and didn't feel like it would hold together in a crash.
The matching trousers seemed to be of a better quality though.
As for the helmet, I only rode back to the house (6 miles) but it seemed comfortable, not the quietest out there but I've had noisier that have cost over £100.
If you are going to get one I would suggest checking it carefully, I looked at two the same and the locking mechanism on one could be pulled apart but the other was solid.
Also check the box and make sure you get all the bits and pieces, you should have-:
The helmet
Spare set of cheek pads
extra visor
Breath guard
Helmet bag
And an extra padded skirt thingy (like a wind jammer)

Been and got the underwear, seems very good. The helmets are a flipping bargain (do you see what I did there lol) but they didn't fit me very well. They do come with loads of extras, cheek pads, spare visor, carry bag..... other stuff to which I forget. While I was there a biker said he bought one 3 years ago and it's still going strong, but did have a clip break, he contacted the supplier in the instruction book and they posted him a new one no problems.
I bought a pair of gloves too, maybe not the best in the world but ideal as a spare dry pair.
Also bought the little radio controlled helicopter..... it superb fun!

well worth a trip.
