I have a couple of screw ones, deal
Drumwrecker:
I did see your post but my reason was no broadband for some 9 days
Heres the paint:> yes paint
Started off with me wanting 2 wingmen to join me, ended up with 8. If you have toured before then 8 is a pain, traffic lights, piss breaks, photos, riding speeds etc
It was common knowledge that the tour was closed. A PM would have confirmed this, I got several.
We have split the 8 into 4, and will have breakfast and at the end of the day, dinner.
Sorry you have been ignored and yes, you will certainly tour with a better bunch

I'm passing this thread onto customs and the drug squad!
Should be a memorable start and finish to your tour?
*Rubber gloves and LM grease at the ready for them*

This time next week I'll be going to bed ready for an early start.
I can see a return visit!
Your very welcome,, one thing i forget to mention about Neuschwanstein,,, you will often find at this venue waiting lines, at times up to 3 and 4 hours, not really sure about Sept,, you cant drive up the hill to the castle either so it's a steep walk up to it or a horse and buggy ride with a small walk up the rest of the way,,walking down approx 40 mins,, it could take up a considerable amount of time,, Herrenchiemsee could also take a while to do,, but both venues certainly worth a visit even if it means returning at another time,,,,,,, The places you lot are going are brilliant and will be a heck of a tour,,, have a swim in the lake at Annecy.

There were only five bikes listed before my post and no past saying the list was closed and no mention of contact by PM. That smacks of "behind closed doors" to me.
I was going to pal up with The Thigh who was also ignored or appeard to be but he is having trouble with his health so can't ride for a while.
Anyway I hope your trip goes well and keep safe and remember to be extra cautious when turning right on empty roads, it is so easy to end up driving on the left after making the turn. I go to France two or three times a year and still nearly get suckered into that mistake.

When you're doing the big miles, it pays to go with people you know well & who you're confident riding with.
And Cats is right - 4-5 is the very most you want - it's amazing how much time you waste even then with petrol, pee, & fag stops
I see even now, there's differences of opinion on achievable daily mileages & how much they can get in !
Should be a good trip though, I'm jealous, even though I've had 3 weeks in the Pyrenees 4 days riding in Belgium so far this year
Might be copying your run down to Spain later on this year though Drumwrecker - Me & a mate are planning a trip down to see his dad in Malaga at the end of October - I reckon 9 days should be enough for the return trip , don't you - a Fireblade & my GSA should make for an interesting combination (reckon he only wants me along as a fuel bowser)

The older I get, the better I was96 MkII in yellow & silver with bluespots, braided lines, Remus 2 into 1, Hagon rear shock & fork springs, bashplate, heated grips,Motech pannier racks, Road Attacks, Jockoiler, Baglux tank cover & bag. Gone to a far better place - hasn't it Remo?
Another 96 Mk2 in yellow & silver - absolutely standard & pristine ( apart from a butchered rear mudguard - but I'm looking for a new one

I went late September October to Spain and had to tun back going over the Pyrenees coming home because of snow and found a tunnel to go through instead, Weather was pretty rough with rain for about 300 or so miles. I was so glad I took some light weight waterproofs to put on over my textiles as it kept me dry and warm.
We had 20+ on our IAM trip to Germany and managed pretty well.
I reckon if the party is large it can be broken down into groups of three and if everyone knows the destination the trios would all find their way OK and the different routes and stops could be compared over a beer afterwards.
Anyway enjoy yourselves it should be a good trip.
