I believe Mr Ramrod moved the post to Hyde Park after his original comment...I too was in your confuzzed state until I realised (or at least thats what I'm telling myself to keep the OCD at bay)

It's the nature of internet forums for everyone to go off topic  :P

The ones that are rigidly moderated tend to piss everyone off so they all leave - far better to have a bit of banter

Lets face it, if all you want if technical info, you can buy a workshop manual  :good:

This place is more a social club than a forum - & as for exclusively TDM - have you been on a ride out recently ?  Lucky if you get 50% TDM's

There's more on a CMC ride out

I think a mix of marques is a good thing, but we could always change members who don't own at least 1 TDM to 'associate members'.

Actually the last CMC rideout was a bit of a shock I think it was only me and Pantboy on TDM's.  It used to be the only non TDMer that would show up would be Ready on his TDM powered Tenere.

Mind you it's better that the TRX owners meets where no TRX's show up :D

I can't see anything wrong with other bike related threads or conversations as long as they arn't pasted all over the 'All about TDM' part. I know some people will occassionally refer to either other or previous bikes, in topic conversations, although if somebody was coming to Carpe just to talk about another make of motorcycle whether it be a BMW or Honda or whatever, and never a TDM, then there might not be much point unless they enjoy talking to the people that are here about other bikes.

Lets not forget that we are all bikers, all get our kicks off two wheels, and I myself have had and have other bikes as well as my TDM. There was a story around here not so long ago (Not sure if lost in Carpe crash), that somebody had met a Honda 90 rider who loved it, went everywhere on it, and wouldn't ever want anything else. He is still getting his kicks off two wheels!

So as to the original point, no Im not sick of seeing it. I have nothing against BMW GS bikes, (Personally not my cup of tea), but each to their own. (I did get peed off at a GS rider at the weekend who tried to cut me up), (he failed),  but there will always be idiots out there riding and driving all sorts of make/models of cars and bikes.

Now that would be as struggle for some people to cope with; it's BMW, but then again it's cake! Would the BMW hating cake lovers shun it, eat it, or burst a blood vessel trying to decide?

Is it an official BMW accessory to go with Mick's BBQ?
