I got around some of the transport costs when we did this the first time by having all 8 I think sent to me then re-shipping them once they'd made it stateside.  A few buyers were local to Rentec and were able to have theirs shipped direct.  So they completed the minimum order of 10 bars.   It was a regular PITA but it saved a bunch of folks a bunch of VAT and shipping as I recall... The bars are great y'all, definitely worth the effort to organize a batch. Great to see the demand from TDM owners being met by Hannah and the Renntec folks!

I've got my order for two in.

Hannah says

Just an update - we have now sold 5 sets of the Engine Bars. I will be putting the batch of 10 into production tomorrow - if there is more than 10 customers before then I can obviously higher the quantity, but once it is out I may not be able to do this if it's too far into production.

Moved to Canada and had to sell my 05 900.
OU55FRD if you're still out there, I miss you.

Now own two complete TDM's (3VD) and one parts bike.

I just placed my order for $100 worth of shipping.  But as a bonus, they are throwing in a pair of $90 crash bars.  :)

Is there still time to get in on this buy?  I just found out about it.  And are the bars for 1992 models? Thanks.

Edit:

Contacted Renntec and placed my order.

I hope I did not displace anybody else's order.  If so, I will gladly yield it since I got in on it so late.

When Renntec put the production order in it will take a few days to start manufacture  so anyone thinking about it bang your orders in like now you wont be shoving any one out it will be as they come any one dallying about will dip out simple as that, its a 10 set minimum there is no max.

The bars are for MK1s but as previous posts have said they will fit mk2S I am getting one for each.

It seems like as long as you get your order in before they actually go into production, it shouldn't be an issue.  I'm sure Renntec would rather make 20 than 10.

Mine are paid for and agree with g650, as long as you order now, there wont be a limit to how many they'll make as long as its over 10.

Phoned my order in this a.m.  Karen took my order and said they have taken 30 orders for these so far.  Kudos to oldYZ for kicking this off.
