Was there a windy thing in one of the box of bits you gave me dabbers?

If it does turn out to be a generator issue and fixitsan can't find his, have a hunt around the knowledgebase on here.  Someone (probably MarkyMark, Celtic Biker or Matlock) found somewhere that would rewind them when they failed on high mileage 900's

WEMOTO have the Electrex one with new gaskit for just over £108 delivered so makes more sense to buy new since other option was getting it rebuilt but was £150 upward.

Must admit its the only part of electrics that hasn't been replaced so better be the problem :rotflmmfao:

All symptoms point to it now, low revs = low voltage = electronic ignition won't operate.

Same fault my 900 had when I got it, except it was intermittent at first.

Well if you come across it sometime, it's not got the 3 wire connected but the wires may well be with it, took it abroad on the 9r in case i needed a quick swap. If i should come across it i'll let you know, save you a search.

Generator finally fitted and seems to be charging and not going below 12v with headlights and indicators on start up.

BUT ITS STILL FUCKED!

Starts rough with misfire on one cyclinder then clears  then after 10-20 min goes back to misfire.

Seems one step forward 10 back with this fecking bike

ONLY thing electrical NOT changed is the ECU now.

List so far:

Full carbs rebuild twice.

New fuel pump.

New regulator/rectifier.

New ignition coil

New battery

New plugs.

Valve clearance checked and adjusted.

New shims

New Stator/Charger

New fuses

Have you opened every electrical connector, checked for any corrosion, and sprayed with a contact cleaner before remaking ?

Passed MOT and Finally seems to be running properly on the short run to garage :good:

Although strongly advised to replace rear shock since has virtually no dampening left. Also need to move regulator and gear leave since seems I set it too low and had fun getting toes under to change up.
