BTW
I have a spare working and clean vacuum fuel pump taking up room in my box 'O' bits.

Anyone who needs it can collect at the NW fettle for gratis as I have no use for it.

Took it in for someone in the dim past and tested it for pressures or something.

I know it pumped ok and developed fuel pressure. Then the bike caught fire or was stolen and it was never collected. Been in a vacuum sealed bag for some years.

Any use to the owner of purplenasty ?

Last question honest - anyone got a rear shock spring spanner. I want to either try it or measure one up to have one made. Cant seem to source one anywhere. If anyone goting the fettle can you please bring it. My rear shock is stuck in minimum pre-load and a big lad like me needs the ride height adjustment !!! - cheers

If the ring is like the 900 with square shaped notches, I have two adjustable ones. One big one smaller, bring them with me if you like. Will also have the proper 900 one as well if it fits.

I have been allowed a temporary pass into the DMZ (kitchen) to inspect the CAKE ! It's quite a biggie laugh.gif

Just as well with Ivan on the list of attendees! rolleyes.gif

On the matter of torquing up the switch do we have access to get the torque wrench in, or do we need to borrow a crows foot mathingy as hammernam used in his epic literary piece?

No access for a torque wrench, I do not have crows feet, but you just need to nip it up, not bar tight. this is effectively a hollow bolt after all. Use a short spanner or a 1ft spanner and a spring balance. I will go ask me dad if he has 22mm crows foot.

Ah, but I do get to sample the proposed cake for quality first..... yeahyeahyeah.gif several times to be exact.

That's why she made two, so one would survive to the fettle.

Swmbo is using the old tried and trusted version, no experiments here, too important an occasion...... unsure.gif

Update: cake has been sampled and is pronounced fit for duty. clapping.gif

I'm not sure if I can make it to the fettling day.

Thankfully my bike is currently not actually in need of any fettling (holds lucky rabbit foot and heather). If I can I will call in as it isn't too far away.
