glad you've found it.

It's always the last thing you change  ;)

I had a fault on my FZ engine change, turned out a faulty wire from pickup, even though it ohm'd out ok.

that took me 6 months to find

To be fair why would you change anything else when you've found the problem?

Probably Hagon, not sure if Wilbers, M-Shock or others are more expensive though.

I would price up M shock and Hagon, not heard many complaints about YSS, Wilbers will be more expensive me thinks.

AANNDD! Its Fecked again!!!

Haven’t even taken it out for proper test run yet. Seems the main fuse has got a bit hot over the years and warped the connection, so you get random on and off depending on if you knock it and its too distorted now that the new fuse won’t make contact. So i guess cut wires and put in separate blade fuse connector with bullet clips since my soldering is crap?? .

Then to add more insult the fecking thermostat housing has just started to leak. Can i use something like radweld???

No.

Its most likely the silly design lid leaking. Either make a clamp ferret or try sealing the gap atwix lid and body.

Thermostat housing is just probably the rubber sealing ring.

The housings can distort sometimes but if it's not excessive a new sealing ring sorts it

You can always just remove the thermostat to keep the pressure down on the inlet side, but it's a slower warmup and introduces a risk of overcooling in winter.

Have ordered new sealing ring and thermostat since may as well change the lot.

Also couple of inline blade fuse holders to hopefully bypass the dodgy fuse issue.
