After installing the FCR's, I slapped on some blue spot's in the front, steel braided front lines, Continental TKC 70's, and hit the dirt roads in the GA mountains. The bike is kicking ass!

Very nice bike :good:

Continental TKC 70's

Nice bike! What size TKC 70 did you use? I can see the front available in 19" and 21" only?

I used a 4.00/18 rear flipped backwards. I did have to modify and raise the front fender a little. It works really well though! The front TKC 70's have been getting bad reviews, and the rears great reviews, so I am hoping this set up gives me the best option for this tire.

Hi LordZed!

Your bike is simply beautiful.
The rear side bags and a tank bag, form a beautiful set, different from what I'm used to seeing.
All black, all was show the ball! :good:

Cheers!

Naughty shorties fitted. Discovered the brake fluid reservoir has larger screws than on the 03 so the new SS ones were far too small. BSM and I rode to the Bungalow Cafe in Colchester for brunch then on to Finchingfield for cake n coffee, enjoying late autumn sunshine.

You don't need balls to ride a big bike.

Fitted the spare touring screen that came with the bike.

Well gave it a good try out on the way to work and it does not work at all for me. At 5'9'' and wearing an Arai tour X the turbulant air flow is hitting me right in the moosh! Don't reckon it'll be better with a peakless helmet. Back to the standard Yamaha screen for me I reckon[ wind hitting me in the chest is better and quieter as well ]

Off to look at piccies on here at what people have fitted.. Not keen on the mahoosive ones though.

Screens on bikes........hey ho. Bet it's never been discussed............. :hide:  :P

The MRA racing screen does it for me. I'm 6'5'' and wear an X4 too. There's a little bit of buffeting but compared to the standard screen its nothing.

Cheers PV will have a gander at that. Had an MRA Vario before on my Versys which was pretty good.

Levers were delivered the other day with nice blue adjusters to match my bike.  Very nicely made too.  My only observation is the pivot hole on the original ones has a bush fitted, these do not so the pivot action will be steel onto aluminium but what do you expect for the price they are..  Will just have to keep them well greased.
