Finally got the XT hand guards fitted yesterday, had them sitting here for the last couple of months.

No pics as it started to rain so I stuffed it back in the shed.

Midwinter treat today - Gave her a thorough wash & polish and a good coating of ACF50. That should see me through to April ;) . Also washed my Gortex riding kit on Christmas Eve Eve with Nikwax wash & waterproofer. They've only just dried out today. So I can go for a ride again now  :yeyeye:

After my spill earlier this year I decided one of the cheapes options to camoflage the damage to the side panel would be to put a sticker or two over the wound to hide it a little........Errrr somewhere between the hours of 23.00 and 00.30 I had a massive brain fart and got carried away big style :P.......

Removed the knackered generator stator and started looking for alternatives....found Honda VTR Firestorm stators seem to be a perfect fit....a few others besides....hope to have one here within a week.

Such a warm day today and I didn't get to ride. Not to worry !

That stator looks well fried....what do you have on the bike as none standard electrical consumers ( heated grips, spot lights etc ) as a matter of interest??

LED handguards, very dim low current ones at that, but there's a 12V power socket wired into the dash...only had the bike 10 days so no idea what was in it before

I also freed up one of the rear brake caliper slide bolts. Disc and pads are almost new but i noticed a lot of pedal movement....which turned out to be a skewed caliper. Cant understand why the pins weren't scrubbed and lubed when the pads were done....seems crazy to ruin the new parts

Ohlins, PC3, fuel cut defeat, +4deg timing, 17" front wheel.

Also, do you have info about the centre stand ?

http://www.ebay.co.u...tm/321206527772

And I've lifted this from a post on here after a couple of hours of searching.. Forgot to mention, I order a couple of A4 sheets.

I quote and this does work...

I've come up with a solution. If you open Word (or whatever) and make yourself a blank A4 template. Copy and paste the image below, so that the image corners match the edge of the A4 template, this will then be to scale, ready for you to use. (you will need to set the page margins to nil.)

I would suggest you cut a paper one out first and offer it up just to check you are happy with it. I personally think it could be improved (look at the top edge and you will see that it is not quite parallel to the top edge of the frame...so you may like to tweak it a bit?

Just for you LS

Inside the pannier rails?

I think Lee keeps his on the engine bar, to keep his brew kit warm.
