I can't do it. Set off to heve a really good tyre kick but turned back. Reasons:-

1...Its massive.

2...The service indicator. Its either let it go & annoy the life outa me or get it serviced. Never paid to get a bike serviced in 43years & not about to start now.

3...Not ridden the MT09 yet

4...Main reason,  no tuning forks on the tank  + BMW Sam doesn't work. Tractor Sam is better but I will stick with what I have & besides there may well be some very tasty TDM offers come winter. especially if an M-TDM is a reality

i dont know about you , but i am fed -up of the bmw "lot" taking over this web site ....i am sure they dont go on and on, on  the bmw club web site  about TDM,s and keep plugging there photo,s every  chance they get [ or they would soon be in trouble ] ....i have other makes of bikes and if i want to talk about them i would go to there own web site. i wouldnt dream of bragging off how great they are on another biker,s web site ...its like  they have to go out and spread " the word " to get as many as possible into " the fold " or is it that there pockets are empty due to rip- off service charges and cannot afford to join the bmw club ...

Going through this thread again out of interest & a thought sprang to mind looking at your original post Doboy ...........

If you're that passionate about this site & keeping it fro the BMW infection ........why doncha put your hand in your pocket & shell out your fiver to support Carpe .......just like all us horrible BMW lot did a long time ago  ;)

Your opinion might carry a little more weight with us, or me at the very least then  :P

Ivan, I can take all day every day, because he supports Carpe, and because he secretly yearns for a 1200 RT  :badgerrock:

Ah man... Why do things have to get personal? Doboy, you seem to want to pick a fight. Why? We are ALL bikers here. A collection of people all passionate about the same thing. - Two wheels with an engine in the middle. I love classic Hondas, I have had two, still have one of them, I love oldTriumphs, and I like Harleys. I sat on a Honda Goldwing the other week, and if I had enough money I would probably have one as well as my TDM, and I love my TDM.  EACH TO THEIR OWN!!

Like I said in my earlier post, as long as stuff about any other bike (Not just BMW GS), isn't plastered over the 'All about TDM' section, then I don't mind what I see in other sections. You won't find reames of BMW related conversations in the 'All about TDM' section, because 1) People don't put it there, and 2) We have lovely admin staff who make sure stuff is in the right sections and move it accordingly if its not. (I am guilty of in the past, putting the wrong things in the wrong places) (My other half thought carbs in the dishwasher were things in the wrong places, but I soon sorted that)!

If you don't like seeing stuff about other bikes in other sections of this forum, DON'T READ THEM!!!!!!

Everybody in the world will like different things, and different variations of things and have different opinions. Thats life!
