So which paint did you eventually use !


Bigred mk1 R1 Calipers- Braided lines- Givi wing rack-Crash bungs- Hi vis bullets-PR2's- and a hoot to ride.

Quad 900 Silver Laser duo tech pipes-Scott oiler-Engine crash bars- Radiator mounted see me ring LED's-Datatool system 3 alarm -Centre stand- Extender fender-Renthal bars-Handle bar risers-Mirror extenders-BMW GS Handgaurds-Acumen uprated horn & Nautilus-Stainless steel Radiator guard-Givi wing rack-OEM screen-Yammy touring screen-MRA Vario-MRA Double bubble cut down for fast as fk riding-Tiger screen-Tank protector-Stomp grip panels-Optimate lead   Gone to Heaven  :sorry:

So which paint did you eventually use !


Its simoniz aluminium engine enamel. I got it from euro car parts, cheap. They always have discount codes, so I used the Christmas code and got it for around £4! But unless you pick it up, you pay postage! Haha

I am unable to post pictures of the bike as it is. I have done quite a lot today! Engine in, swing arm on and forks bolted on! Its going well!

Nice work Tom, er, dont forget to paint the forks eh..those handlebars look huge, maybe it's the photo angle, are they Renthal 756's !!

Forks will get painted when I get the parts needed for them and I havent a clue, I want new bars to be honest.

What handlebars have people used on the 3vd? 755? I’d like something a bit straighter and slightly taller, I am 6’7”!
Also, how to I sign in to the old forum? There’s a fuel pump write up, I’d love to read it. And see pictures, as third party host pictures won’t show up?!? Thanks geezers.

Fuel pump write up in the KB, as for handlebars Adam recently posted about Renthal 971's which are straighter but i reckon you will still need risers with whichever you choose..

Doin valve clearances? Use dappers valve shim exchange program and the job will be carroty - Free (other than you postin me yer shims) for sporting members.

Got the exhaust bolted on! Tried to clean the carbs and broke the emulsion tube screw! I cant find a replacement anywhere! Anyone able to help?

Whos idea was it to start a winter project right after Ive thrown away the heater cause I wouldnt bother using it? My little hands are quite numb!
