Looks like I'll not be joining you for the rideouts as SWMBO has plans for France. Dont forget that Papa Rock's was good last year for Saturday dinner http://www.paparock.org/.
For breakfast you have the Happy Haggis which is two minutes from the hostel and the Cairngorm Hotel another two minutes up the road.

as far as i can tell we need 3or4 extra spaces (assuming Hartside takes Matlocks place)
bedless : Hutch, Tiff, PeteK's mate, JHT

i dont mind Pete's mate taking my place so that leaves the 4 of us to find something else
that cabin sounds like a good idea, but a tad expensive if there are only 4 of us
wondering if it would just be easier to camp....only worry is the midges and flooding....

Hi Tony,

Just checked with them, they have no more rooms available - only dorm beds.

The 6 bookings that I made are in a quad room & a twin room - we were originally in two quads but they have obviously changed that since they are so busy.

If it helps any, it is looking unlikely that I will make it as I am short of a bike at present mellow.gif

After my off I decided to go down the insurance route & the bike was classed as a cat c write-off (Pete did warn me about this!), they reckon a cost of 3170 quid to repair the plastics I broke, paint & labour - unbelivable!

I`m presently waiting to see what sort of pay out fiqure they will dream up - so if it helps then my place is available ?

I'll look in to getting a pass from the missus so might come along, perhaps this would help with splitting accommodation costs?
