What with dodging Tour de France wannabees, cars, trucks, rubber necking city tourists with NFI, sheep, farmers, all at a conservative rate of knots :punishment: , did I mention the wind & the constant "Summer" rain, you couldn't wipe the smiles off our faces.

Thanks for the kind words, MB, though any privilege was on the other foot.

Home yesterday disappointingly knackered after a round trip of only 311 miles, which along with a new and dreadful slowness in getting packed and going each day gives me a perspective on my biking horizons from here on.

At the same time, this wee trip has reminded me of what a stalwart friend the TDM is - steady, dependable, forgiving of crappy gear selection etc. which brings me to the point, MB, that this venture of yours gives an ideal opportunity for a testimonial by a recognised rider of your experience to the TDM in all its forms and over varied terrain - perfect timing for a review now that production has stopped? Hope you can include a wee go on a niner at some point, insurance permitting.

Not to divert this thread, but as an aside on an old theme, I checked the fuel consumption on the trike this time ( mostly motorway with about 10% "A" roads and ditto urban). Overall returned 61 mpg (72 on the less windy outrun). Not sure if the 342 kilos helped or hindered.

Anyhoo, go MB!!
